TBH, I think the original movies are overrated. They're fun at times, but they often drag and are not laugh out loud funny. Ghost busting was a cool concept and the cartoon was good but the movies aren't sacred. So I'm fine with trying an all female cast. It'll probably be dumb but have some laughs. At least I'll see it before shitting on it.

The original Ghostbusters? Yeah, it's great. I think people forget just how bad 2 is. It's a money grab as well, with everyone sleep walking throughout. Outside of the original, the name has been mostly used to sell toys, cereal, and shitty TV shows and video games. It's hardly a "great franchise."

Or she could keep gaining weight and die in the next 6 weeks. Might be even better.

It is funny to see the cast complain of chauvinist pigs while the SJW are pissed that Leslie Jones is playing a vile racist stereotype.

You Fat Bitch, I don't hate the movie. My wallet hates it.

She sounds right to me.

Melissa McCarthy is fat, unfunny, and fricking retarded. None of these dumb quotes from her surprise me at all.

I saw the trailer, felt the trailer was a waste of my time, hence i won't be wasting more of my time watching the movie.

there is a typical race joke from a loud African American in the previews.
Tell her to explain that one.

Melissa McCarthy is a fricking problem. She tries to present herself as a role model to fat girls and women, but the truth is fat people shouldn't have fat role models, they should have role models that have lost weight and improved their lives. Fat people cost this nation billions of dollars every year and they make things far more difficult for themselves and others. She needs to get off of TV and movies until she loses weight

The movie is gonna suck grande balls no matter what she says.

The cereal was a staple of my diet when I was about 9. The cartoon was one of my favorites. but I agree, it's not a sacred franchise. And I think this board goes overboard in judging movies solely on the trailer.

Her cousin is still hotter and more talented.

Reminds me of the deflection done last summer with Fantastic Four where people cracked on the strange casting combo of one of the Mara sisters as Sue Storm ans Michael B Jordan as Johnny Storm.
People weren't knocking the quality of either as much as pointing out that it is the kind of "what the hell" casting that did not get he movie off to a good buzz because it was a clear departure from every version of the two ever done.
Once it became clearer and clearer how much of a shite show the movie was on screen and off, the actors continued trying to deflect criticism back toward that casting decision instead of talking about Josh Trank going nuts or the absurd amount of reshoots done in an attempt to save the movie.
In general, this kind of thing comes with the neighborhood in any adapted work, ESPECIALLY if it is clear the work is an "in name only" adaptation. The debacle of the Jem movie comes to mind where they basically had a shitty script for something media-based and licensed the Jem name to try and get it made with minimal at best attempts to even come close to the source material.
That ended up as a disaster but few people noticed because Jem doesn't have the fan base of a 50+ year Marvel Comics iconic team or one of the franchises heavily associated with the 80s due to multiple films, toys, tv series, etc.

What an idiot. People are pissed because they decided to take a gimmick route with a franchise that is classic.
to be fair, you are kinda sorta supposed to defend your movie when you are doing the promotion in the run up to the release.
