To be fair, Sigourney said that that’s her character’s backstory, that she was from the same era. Anything to drop the name of Princess Leah while pimping the new stuff, I guess.

She didn’t “fight beside General Leia” because There was no General Leia and she didn’t fly X-Wings. Lucasfilm is far from a comeback, this movie is not it, Starfighter will not be it and there’s no sign they’ll change or even understand why they’re failing.

And? Officially she goes from Senator to the first Chancellor to the republic. The point is she’s doing the same thing with zero title and def not a General. This is just humoring you to meet you on your own terms. In reality you don’t even have an argument but I understand that people like you can’t accept information unless you think you’re coming to it on your own.

No you didn’t and the logic you used to make that assumption has already been dissolved. If her character had been made general prior to Return her profile would’ve read that instead of prior to TFA. You're making it up against actual evidence and proof to the contrary.
