In the original Legends series, Leia has the rank of General by the X-Wing and Thrawn series. I cannot recall if either ever speaks of her flying X-Wings; as a force-sensitive she'd have a leg up on a lot of folks if she did. IIRC, most of her time in the books is still engaging in matters of state and diplomacy.
Disney changed everything that happened after the original trilogy.

Already told you three times and misrepresenting what I say isn’t an argument though common for your type. Btw that book came out in 2018 so it didn’t happen when you claim it did and it isn’t official canon.

Because none of it even happened. She’s a princess who was also a senator (not uncommon in universe) then Disney slapped “General” onto her because… well we all know why. It makes no sense but that’s her progression.
