The book was the same way.
Never saw the series, but I read the book, and was surprised that someone would make a whole series out of it.
TMITHC was the very first book I ever read in electronic format, BTW. Downloaded it as a text file to my Palm Pilot way back in the bronze age.

First season is great. Second season is okay. The rest is unwatchable.

It's still on Prime too. I really enjoyed the series, but it took a couple of years of hearing everyone on here talking about how great it was to get me to give it a 2nd try.
The 1st time I tried watching it Prime sent me to the start of the third season instead of the start of the show. I watched all of one episode and the beginning of a second one. It didn't make any sense to me so I quit watching it. A couple of years later I was looking for something and went back to it. That's when I saw it was on season 3. I started it from the beginning and binged the whole show. I this board hadn't really liked it I wouldn't have given a damn about it. Thanks.

Did the book receive backlash for making Nazi-occupied eastern United States seem like a decent place to live
Spoilers for another show:
I wonder if Peacemaker did? It was paradise in America this other dimension until they realized it was run by Nazi's after they won WWII and a black woman showed up and they all went nuts
