I really need to watch this again. I'll have to see if it is on NetFlix or Prime so i can watch the unedited version.

I would say it's much different, but really it's a few scenes, language, and a couple pairs of boobs.

The sex scene in the DD stockroom, a couple of flashers at the DD, the strip club Wade Garrett is working at when Dalton calls, Brad Wesley's midnight pool party, and I think Denise might show 'em when she does her striptease after Wesley burns down Red's Auto Parts.

And then there's Bill Murray's favorite sex scene in cinematic history... Dalton doing Doc against the rock wall fireplace!

And Dalton's arse, if you're into that sort of thing. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

Dalton went on to become a motivational speaker (see: Donnie Darko).

My motto is, if there's a pair of boobs, I wanna see them.

Then you'll definitely want to watch the unedited version of Roadhouse. Brad Wesley is mayor of Titty City.

SFP's podcast link had some good stuff in it...

Dalton's wardrobe choices are a large part of what makes Roadhouse so fricking awesome. Maybe not as influential as his "Swan Lake meets MMA" fight scenes, but Dalton had a very unique fashion sense.

Who was O'Conner? Was he Wesley's henchman who was a "bleeder"?

If so, I'm with you. Wesley is completely exposed as the sociopath we all suspected he was, but the dialogue is ridiculous. Who actually spent time coming up with the line, "You know why I don't like you? You're a bleeder!"

was thinking about this last night in a roundabout way.

dalton is the only person in the bar who is an employee and doesnt wear a uniform. this was even in his first bar. if im in a rowdy bar with my hooker girlfriend and my buck knife on me, i wouldnt listen to some good looking guy with his hair slicked back who is telling me to leave the premises. let alone dalton is kinda small, frick him

(this was if im a country badass who always wants to knife fight and punch people)

That's a major part of the Cooler mystique. Dalton's perfectly moussed mullet, unique sense of style and non-confrontational demeanor (unless he felt compelled to rip your throat out) are what made him so successful as The King of the Coolers. (Apologies to Steve McQueen's
Cooler King in The Great Escape.)

FYI: I'm a larger than average guy, but the worst beating I ever received was from a guy about 5'-10" and 170#. Trouble occasionally arrives in (relatively) small packages. I think I'd respect Dalton's confidence and unflappable demeanor, even if he was dressed like a fricking homo.

The actor who played Jimmy (Marshall Teague), was in real life a former Navy Seal and expert kickboxer who said that when he met Patrick Swayze he was thinking there was no way Swayze could make their fight scene look real because he was too small and was probably soft because he was just an actor. He said he found out real quick how much he underestimated how athletic and tough Swayze was during their fight scene when they actually really beat the hell out of each other.
