They're exactly like the previews from Firefly. Simply clip after clip of totally unrelated scenes from previous episodes.

Is there really a difference between ketchup and catsup? I always assumed they were the same.

From top to bottom, this was a great episode. Several unrelated stories that were all good, kinda like SNL before it sucked.

Roger wouldn't let them run Harry off because he knew he was about to somehow make an arse of himself.

This episode was one of the top of the series IMO. This season is going to be a good one. Can't wait to see more Peggy vs. Don

Really good episode. Whether Peggy or Don's ad was better would be all on whether or not catsup was a legit competitor at the time (which I have no idea if that was the case).

TV will be bringing in the money- the most money- in the future. I'm not sure why they don't see that. I assume though its just entering the TV age. I remember a couple years ago when his department was just him.

This show has done a great job with TV's evolution. I would say TV will overshadow anything Don does in ~5 years.

agreed. the premiere ep wasn't all that great but these last two have been really sharp. reminds me of season 4. they're throwing some interesting plot lines and vignettes in there that the audience wouldn't expect. with MM it's always about the small things for me that make it such a great show. for instance tonight the final scene she tells him she prays for him to have peace .. which at first you think is her being real and truthful and having insight into Don's inherent struggle, but when you dig down you realize she's just trying to justify her cognitive dissonance that arises from being a purported religious woman who cheats on her husband .. so she has to try and write off her sinful actions by pretending she has a noble cause in "saving" Don. ... a person whom, as I think this show has shown, has the most important distinction of being a man incapable of "being saved."

Don is versatile. Don't forget he made the award winning commercial with the kid in jail while mom cleans the floors.

Who's ad did you prefer? I think Peggy nailed it.

Don's was the more clever ad .. Peggy gave the client what he wanted.

Good analysis. I loved that last scene because it is becoming blatantly obvious that there is going to be one huge climactic moment for Don when almost all is lost for him. He no longer is this guy that prances around the office boozing, winning clients, and philandering women. He still does a lot of this but now he is in a desperate, slipping state and headed towards a dark place.

He is off at work. His speeches are falling flat. The SCDP Heinz campaign was way better than Peggy's, but she delivered much better than Don. The disgust on his face with Meagan was amazing to me because it looked like true hatred. The irony in the whole thing is that he lives his whole life as an "actor" - his job and his personal life are both fake - and he despises Meagan for the same damn thing.

They have really pushed last season and apparently this one that Don is getting left behind by life and the world. He married Megan because he saw her as a way for him to stay young/fresh, but that isn't working out because you can't become younger simply by wishing for it .. I don't know what will come of Don. Everything foreshadows his ultimate demise .. but there's also the anti-hero aspect of his character that keeps you routing for him and expecting things to work out for him. Weiner is always good for giving viewers something they don't expect and keeping us on our toes.

Wasn't that originally Peggy's idea?

It was her idea to put a kid in or something but he was responsible for the final product. In regards to tv, don would still be in charge of content for ads, Harry is just in charge of deciding when to buy spots for said commercials and whatnot.

Great episode. I would hate to seem them lose Cosgrove and Crane but it was probably inevitable.

What did Peggy's ad say again? I just remember it had the bottle, which the client wanted.
