Maybe I was a bit hasty. The flight was from New York state, but not anywhere near the city, so she likely won't be on the plane.
They like to be historically accurate about these things.

Yeah, there were a few Mohawk crashes and I don't see any that necessarily originated and ended where Peggy would (I Googled like a motherfricker when she said that too

Most people suck at fighting.
I was sort of liking Pete's swag this year, but he's turned back into a little bitch again.

The "Old Don is back" people are gonna love that ending.

I expected more. Oh well, at least we got dogs f*cking and Sterling arse.

What was the point of the dogs fricking and rogers arse?

Shush.
So does he or doesn't he fellas? I think he doesn't because he's grown past that, but it's gotta be tempting. Loved that shot of the partners in the new space though.
And Roger's arse. Not bad for an oldie but goodie.

You need the perspective of time, but season 5 may bet the best season of MM yet. Roger was at his best by far. Harry Crane found his own, and Don rediscovered his mojo (regardless of whether he MFF'd those 2 chicks.)
Pete took his douchebagger to a new level and Betty got the treatment all of us schadenfreudists wished on her.

She's on the ground floor of a cheap hotel watching two dogs hump in the parking lot. Not the exotic business trip she imagined.

We just watched S5, not 4. I thought it ended on a very nice stretch of about 4 or 5 good to great episodes, but the first half of the season was boring as shite.
Kind of a dull finale, but left on a pretty intredasting cliffhanger. I say, given the way he was watching Megan in her audition video, he turns the two hotties down.
And was the blonde hottie Megan's friend that wanted the help getting the audition? Maybe pay back for Megan stealing it from her?

I love this show when its on and when shite happens but I swear, its endings like this one that I can't stand. Just feels so incomplete.
Even though I guess they wrapped up everything, I wanted more out of it, especially from Don. He had this fire in him from last episode and that went nowhere, for now at least. Then he sees his bro and that was weird- I guess it made him come to grips with the fact that he is who he is, he can't keep pretending...? What did you guys take from that?

Good call. I figured he was imagining himself fricking the whole city at once as he stared out the window. He found his truth.

I was wondering that too. Have to check out full cast and credits, I guess.
Crazy Rory Gilmore's last scene was sad, especially after the high point of seeing her sideboob.
Great episode altogether, though, and a good end to a strong season.

I think it plays into a little bit of what Joan was saying earlier in the episode about thinking about Lane's suicide (trying not to and then ending up thinking about it constantly) and what she could've done differently.

This is what I took from the final scenes:
Don is realizing (he's been doing it for a while) that Megan is temporary. One of the reason why he had such a visceral reaction when she first restarted her acting career is because he knew it would lead her away from him, and he's never been grounded or had something stable. He was finally content, and it was leaving him. So I think Don is just accepting that she'll leave his life.
It makes sense. He's much older than her, and settling down with a younger women can feel like going back in time and reliving your life. I think the sore tooth was just symbolism for the reality that was killing him: he's been alone all his life and he's gonna be alone again. Once he accepted it there was relief.
Both Don and Megan have an itch neither of them can scratch.
