Shoutout to Tom Holkenborg aka Junkie XL for probably the most epic soundtrack in years! He's the reason why everyone felt the way they felt after this movie was done.
Such an intense score and movie!

From what I've read that is true, but this Mad Max seemed much different than the originals to me in the aspect of the bandits. They seemed even more over the top and crazy and I thought it was awesome

I have been a MAd Max follower since high School. I was worried this movie would not live up to the hype. I came out of it not thinking that. I think it hit everything a Mad Max film should. The cars were way over the top!! crazy imagination went into those. The big rigs were crazy and the porcupine cars were cool as shite. I liked the old school monster truck was thrown in also. I also liked the references back to the old films throughout this one. I am going to see it a second time to try and catch more of those. I think two things could help the next film, go back to the arrows. They included too many guns this time around as the last films showed that guns and ammo were almost gone. The arrows made the struggle to kill even greater. Also I missed the goofy, insane characters of the old movies, they had some good ones, but not over the top. The one thing I like is that they never let Max get to a safe place. It is never ending mayhem. My wife was cringing and jumping back in her seat the whole two hours, so that tells me it was great. She hates action and suffering so she was exhausted after two hours of this movies. Just a fun,fun movie.

I would agree for the most part, but seeing as how one of the war parties came from the bullet farm, I didn't have a problem with how much ammo was used.

quote:Well, they guns never went away. They just had no bullets, and this film included what they called "the bullet farm," so I think Furiosa was able to hoard away weapons for her people to use. Also, I think this is supposed to have taken place between the first and second movies, so guns would still be prominent.

I can't believe they destroyed the Interceptor, though. It's not supposed to be blown up until TRW.

Damn, I missed that. I guess that a bullet farm would make sense:)
I think they said the monster truck had the new Eco-boost motor.

In other news, the hot red headed breeder was played by Elvis' granddaughter and Lisa Marie's daughter. If someone pointed this out... I don't care.

quote:I completely disagree. The story was about a villain who took control of his people using religion. Theron's character wanted to rescue herself and his wives and take them to a safe place. Some may not have enjoyed the story, but it was there. I enjoyed it. I especially enjoyed how in depth everything was from a visual aspect. The production design and costumes in themselves told a story.
The action was great but disagree on telling the story. There really was no story or plot. It was a big arse action movie, that's it and it did it well

Also the girl with the short hair who is good with guns and one of the four breeders is Lenny Kravitz' daughter.

Are the oceans gone?
They mentioned driving on the salt for 160 days.
Even overland you should cross Australia in five days tops.
Yes, the oceans are gone. It was the first attempt by the aliens to create a wormhole. They facked up and sucked all the ocean water over to Waterworld. They then abandoned both those tragic worlds and decided to try again at a different alternate Earth.
