I was trolling but Inception doesn't beat 300 as an action movie, no way. Action movies make ya wanna go lift some weights from all the awesomeness. Inception required ppl to think.
I don't know how to phrase my reasonings without sounding hypocritical as I picked Aliens over Total Recall. Aliens was more of a horror movie than an action.

I was just messing too. Although it's true
It got voted in the tournament fair and square as an action movie. If we based EVERY decision on which movie had the most action over the other (I did that with 7 Samurai vs Apocalypto), this would probably not be that great of a tournament. The Expendables and Fast and Furious 1-8 would make up all the 1 and 2 seeds. I don't mind thinking in an action movie.

Why is Robocop losing to Crouching Tiger?
A run of the mill kung-fu flick. Hong Kong audiences were bewildered by Oscars love for it. It didn't even screen that well in the Far East...they were like, yeah, this is what we do...there's hundred more like them.
