Superman made $325 domestic



From that you can surmise

People who wanted to see Superman, already saw it

People who wanted to suffer through Black Adam, waited for it to come to streaming

Neither are films that need a second viewing

Who are the remaining Avengers now?

The Thunderbolts were fine as a "not Avengers" movie but they make more sense in the Spiderman or Hawkeye shows than with Norse Gods and God powered types.

Superman and Peacemaker were the top streaming movie and series on Max. No matter how they ranked on worldwide streaming or how they rank months after being added to the service, Max does not see them as flops.

But you know this. Which is why you have to seek out obscure references to prove reality wrong.

Season 2 was weak

Nielsen outright guesses with their streaming numbers. Only HBO Max knows how many accounts streamed it and for how long.

FWIW, I saw it twice in theaters and haven’t even thought about streaming it yet considering the Saturday-Monday is for football and I watch the new seasons of my shows the rest of the week.

Because Nielsen does that numbers stuff pretty much exclusively, I'd bet they do more than WAG. But technically, yes, only the streamers know 100% what the numbers are, and they're probably never going to tell. Because it would run off investors faster than Season 2 of The Acolyte or Willow.

And as a reminder, I saw Black Adam, The Creator AND Blue Beetle in theater.

All of them were below average. I didn't mind Blue Beetle so much because to me if felt like a spin off to Spy Kids. Same level of story telling, and George Lopez. Which means it wasn't MEANT to be good. It was for kids.
