True story in a town right outside of Dallas. First 3 episodes dropped last night. I watched the first two and thought it was really good.

Elizabeth Olsen is actually a really good actress. Jesse Plemons seems to always be good in everything I see him.

I think stuff is about to go down in episode three. The crazy is starting to come out.

Surely this will be a lot better than the Hulu version

I remember that they were both being filmed at the same time and I thought “why?”

It’s an interesting story that you make a lifetime movie or podcast over. Not 2 series from the 2 biggest streamers out there.

Totally agree. Didn't care for the Hulu one but stuck with it. This being HBO I have higher hopes

Dude I need that! A while back I tried to use it again and it never worked, said it was in the wrong format or something.

I have no idea why I keep Hulu. I can't think of the last Hulu show I actually liked.

Same. We literally just watched all of modern family again and then when I am bored I watch workaholics. I was going to try the new broken lizard movie but heard it was terrible.

Got Amazon Prime? No commercials.

When I had Hulu Live with no commercials it seemed like every show I watched on demand still had commercials. Finally called them one day and said I think y'all might have me on a different package than what I'm paying for and the lady said that Hulu with no commercials is basically an advertising gimmick and that there are only a few stations they can offer no commercials on. I was like thanks for being honest, I'd like to to switch to the $6.99 plan and not the $89 one.

This is like the 4th version of this story - I have no idea why it got so much industry attention in a short span

I didn't realize there was a Hulu version. Odd since it was in the 80's but this always seems to happen. If someone puts out a good documentary, best believe that four other streaming services are going to end up having one on it as well.

If it's streaming we pretty much have it . I try to look at Decider each weekend to find what's new. But I blame the wife she really only watches Bravo.

Prime
Peacock
Disney +
HBO Max
Showtime
Starz
Paramount +
Netflix

The Bear, What we do in the Shadows, justified repeats, fleischman is in trouble, Atlanta, Dave, Archer, IASIP, etc.

Not my favorite pile of series but it’s not that big of a slouch. I’d say Prime and Paramount have weaker lineups.

Yeah it just so happens this one has a storyline that appeals universally to women (which in itself is strange) but I suppose that's a pretty solid guarantee of good viewership #s

Forgot about The Bear and Always Sunny. I watch Dave on YouTube. The Hulu/Disney/ESPN is relatively cheap so it's hard to cancel it. Probably use ESPN+ more than any of those.

I'm about to have a new golf membership note so I told the wife I'd go through and cancel some useless expenses So last week I got rid of Starz, Showtime, Paramaount, and Bally (for Pelicans Basketball). Britbox is another random one I have but I love watching the Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes series from the 80's and 90's.

I went and dropped a few services recently and was going to drop ESPN+ and just have Hulu and D+ but it was 2 or 3 dollars for all 3 vs just 2 so I kept it.

I use ESPN+ the least but my wife likes WBB and tennis and it’s good for those. With my sling log in as well it’s pretty decent.

We watch that often. Brits do crime mystery’s and comedy better than we do. Also watch Gardners World

Here is the thread, but all the pictures are gone from it, it was like 13 years ago. Im afraid that greatness is lost to the sands of time

I went and read through the whole thread. Would have been pretty cool to see all the pictures. Everybody was waiting on the reveal of mine.

Jamohns commentary...

I don't know if sharks have dedicated a week to it yet, but there are definitely some ill-tempered sea bass w/ lasers attached to their heads who already have a basic cable special devoted to it.

A lot of names in there I haven't seen in a while.
