I definitely saw it coming. I could see why he would need Ben, but Richard he didn't need at all and he spat in his face twice, so he was completely screwed.

He can't kill candidates. It says nothing about ageless people. And speaking of candidates, are Sawyer and Hurley now vulnerable to MIB? I guess Jack could make them his candidates to keep them safe.

Jacob can't make you live forever no matter what he can only make you unable to age, so you can be killed and die even when jacob makes you unable to age.
Only reason MIB can kill richard is becuase richard isn't a candidate

good point on hurley and sawyer no longer being protected.

They never said Richard was ageless. You are just using that to explain why he may be dead.
He asked Jacob if he could live forever and Jacob granted that wish. Wouldn't have been much of a wish if MIB could kill him at anytime. WEAK.

The Island is destroyed in the alternate timeline, so that begs to question where is MIB in the alternate timeline. It wouldn't surprise me if he was president or something like that.
