Yeah, I guess I did note that in the back of my head but I've given up on estimating travel times on the Island. There might be something to it.

About the day and night thing. When the losties are cryimg on the beach its night, then cut to MIB and Clair when he says he is going to finish what he started and its the middle of the day.

Why did Kate's name get crossed off from the cave wall? People have been saying, oh it's because MIB doesn't need her anymore. I don't understand this line of thinking.
I'm guessing Jacob no longer saw her as a suitable replacement.

I guess traversing the wilderness ate up most of the daylight. But I am certain that not a lot of time passed from the time they got in the sub until the time they swam out.
Its Hydra Island. It shouldn't have taken nearly that long. Hydra Island at most is a mile wide.
Yeah the time was f-ed up. They should have washed up on shore in the middle of the day.

Her father was the candidate but she killed him?
Seems like she's never been considered a candidate. Am I forgetting some info on that?

At the end, he made the decision to die with her. There was no longer an attempt to save her. Granted, maybe he couldn't make it out anyway, but he didn't even try. If that's not suicide, it's riding a really thin line.
Well nobody ever proved that Jin was a candidate. Clearly he wasn't.

And after my 2nd rewatch I noticed a couple of things.
1) Widmore didn't plant the C4's on the plane. He's on Team Jacob and he knows if he blows up the plane that they're all fricked. It was Team Richard that planted the C4's.
2) It isn't necessary for all of the candidates to die, just for them to be off the island in order for MIB to escape. Once Jack told him he wasn't leaving, he had to improvise. Why he put the C4 in Jack's pack, idk.
3) When John was asleep in the hospital he said something along the lines of "push the button... I should've told him to push the button".

He also said "I wish you had believed me"
Same thing he wrote to Jack in his suicide note
Same thing that Jack tells Locke as he is leaving the hospital in the flash sideways - most likely being the trigger that will bring back Locke's memories of the Island IMHO

In his mind, he probably was still at the Hatch...consciousness jumping.

Not if the plane blows up in the air. and MIB cant be killed by water because Jack pushed him in last night.

Anybody have any theories as to why fLocke didn't kill Desmond when he had his chance? Is he a covert 108? We know Jacob wanted 108 to get to the island as it was written on Hurley's arm per Jacob's instructions in the Lighthouse. Jacob was more interested in Jack though, as 108 would have gotten to the island if it were meant to be Desmond on Widmore's sub.
I'm not saying Desmond is 108, but what if he was. What if he was Wallace. 108 was listed on the cave with no corresponding name. He was crossed off on the wheel though, if memory serves. So why couldn't or didn't MIB kill him after he pushed him in that well? Was it due to EM reasons? Does Smokie embody EM and can Desmond neutralize it?
Is there a chance the island can be sunk and the alt timeline will seize the day (therefore meaning no need for Jacob), after all the Losties have realized their island timeline selves and found their love or whatnot? Alt Daniel didn't seem to want this, based on his coversations with alt Desmond?

"OK, we know that the runway on Hydra Island wasn’t long enough for the 737 to land, but it was long enough for the plane to slow down to a speed where it wasn’t completely destroyed when it hit the trees. Let’s assume that the runway on Hydra Island [pictured above] is at least .75 miles long."

Team Wallace, yo!
No, seriously. I think they should let us know why FLocke cannot or at least chooses not to kill Desmond himself. And he gets Sayid to do it for him. It does seem awfully a lot like the rules for candidates.

she was a candidate for a time, but failed the test
when she was cuffed up with Juliet and they ran thru the jungle and didnt have one nekkid lesbian experience the entire time, Jacob had to be thinking to himself "aw frick this bitch, she'll never do"....and scratched thru her name

do you actually watch the show, or just have it playing off in the background while you battle the daily crossword puzzle?

I really like that map of the Island and is much more accurate than most the others. A few nitpicks though: The Radio Tower is certainly on the East Side of the Island and was said to be near the Black Rock.
There's also no way (despite what Sawyer said, and he said he wasn't even sure of where they were) that Rose and Bernard's cabin is on the North side of the Island. It would be south near the Swan since Sawyer was able to intercept the van, and there's no way he would be able to do that on foot, especially if it was 30 miles according to the map.
I also doubt that the Temple and the Lighhouse are that far away from each other. That is 25 miles according to that map, and I seriously doubt they are that far from one another.
Also the stone bench has to be somewhere near the statue. There's no way its miles away from it since MIB made it seem like it was straight through the clearing.
