Personally, I don't think Desmond and Jack's convo about "lift it up" and "see you in another life" has anything to do with season 6.

how could this conversation not be relevant?

my brother and I were talking earlier today how much we liked the Lapidus character but how we knew 100% that he was a goner

Lapidus seemed like he was along for the ride & look for and looking for an adventure. I'm sad to see him.

FWIW, ign.com has a rap up show on every friday i believe that talks about what happen in this weeks episode. Also the writers at ign.com have come up with what they think will happen at the end. Check it out.

With the deaths tonight of Jin and Sun (we know 1 of them was a candidate), along with Sayid, only 3 candidates remain:

Jack

Sawyer

Hurley

I'd be surprised if it isn't Jack but I'm most interested in seeing what Desmond's role in the endgame will be.

If MIB can't leave the island until all the candidates are dead, then why hasn't he been able to leave the island in the past? If they keep doing this over and over through time and he is still there, there has to be something else keeping him on the island other than that or every time a set of candidates are dead he would be able to leave the island.

Forget Jinn and Sun. If Sawyer dies, I'm gonna cry like a baby.

I was honestly kind of happy to see Jin and Sun die. They didn't add much to the show anymore.

I did like the scene where everyone was ready to get on the sub, armed and hiding in the bushes.

i was just looking at Lostpedia and its amazing the carnage they have had on this show, almost all of the characters have a red ring around them, showing they are dead

RIP Sayid. At least he was able to go out in typical Arab fashion by blowing up with a bomb strapped to his chest.

This might be the most ignorant comment I've read on here in a long while.

Next week's episode should be awesome. I've been anxious to see Jacob/MIB's back story

I'm afraid you may be right Uncle Stu.

My guess based on what was confirmed last night (that the only way MIB can leave is if the candidates are dead; but he can't directly kill them himself) they have to set it up in a way that one of those three will have to choose between killing one vs. the other. like Jack will have to choose between Sawyer or Kate dying, or Sawyer will have to choose between Kate or Jack dying, or Kate will have to choose between Jack and Sawyer (makes the most sense).

I have no idea how it could play out logistically, but it appears this is going to be a "last man standing" situation where Jack and MIB have to go head to head at the end somehow and some way.

The only variable here is Desmond and how he figures in.

I'm so happy that Sayid died the way he did, overcoming the evil indifference with in him and sacrificing for the greater good.

I wonder who is going to raise Jin and Sun's daughter.

I love how Kate appeared to be dying on the sub from the bullet wound, but after she escaped the sinking sub and swam to shore she was somewhat ok.

Sun's mother is raising her already, right?

based on her reaction last nite when she was drug to shore by the beached whale - she's going to choose Jack (if it comes to that)

she's a Kwon - I dont think her story's over yet. But I doubt if they're going to answer your question. (unless it's Kate)

What's up with Rose & Bernard? They are all over the alternate timeline but haven't been seen on the island in I don't even know how long.

I thought it was a solid episode though.
A 2.5 hour finale is going to be amazing. I can't believe it's almost over.
