I wouldn't say that, but I think he is incredibly overrated. He's great in the sidekick/comedic relief role, but he has no inherent leadership or survival qualities besides being Jacob's mouthpiece.

Not every character can be the leader or super survivor. Good sidekicks can make or break a show.
I can honestly say that with the exception of Michael, I have no problem with any of the characters on Lost. All of the others serve the purpose they were meant to serve pretty well IMHO.

I agree. I was just making the point that Hurley's character doesn't fit the leader role well at all although there is a large number of posters who believe he will be Jacob's replacement. I, personally, will be disappointed if this came to fruition.

I agree with this. I really like Kate's character, but people absolutely despise her.

we haven't seen jacob as of much recently becuase this episode is hurley centric we should see alot of him and im pumped about it

I agree. Everything seems to revolve around MIB lately. It'll be good to get more involvement with Jacob, his story, and the candidates.
MIB reminds me of Esau from the bible, Jacob's brother who didn't receive much from Isaac. That is if we are to believe that Jacob really stole MIB's body.

I think it was from the Richard episode. MIB made a comment about Jacob stealing his body. Some of the gurus could probably give you the exact quote.

It would be easy to miss. MIB said it to Jacob at some point this season. I can't remember which episode.

I don't know if that is MIB's body, or Jacob stole another body. I just thought it was similar in that Esau got nothing, but Jacob profited because Esau was so hungry. So Esau hated his birthright from then on.

He could easily be lying. He might have just been implying that turning him into the Black Smoke took his body away.
And MIB has alluded to a crazy mother to where Jacob could literally have taken his birthright away and is why he would perceive his mother as crazy since she took Jacob's side.

i think its crazy to think that jacob is bad becuase he stole MIBs body.
Right before MIB made that comment Richard said but you are the black smoke MIB cut him off obviously trying to avoid the question.
MIB can't obviously answer that question in a way that would convince richard that he was good and Jacob was bad so he avoided it.
