This has been awful.
To be fair, what did we expect, that the smoke monster had a logical explanation?

Disappointing as frick. I was looking forward to seeing them build the Statue, the Temple, see an actual civilization and have maybe MIB and Jacob overthrow it.
And the casual viewer isn't going to remember Adam and Eve, and it wasn't that great of a punch line. And why would MIB leaving result in the end of the world? And they never say his name. Disappointing as frick.

I think the light disappeared from the small double entrance cave after the smoke left. That's incredibly depressing.

If there's no light, then there's nothing to protect except a bunch of fricking EM that can sink the island or manipulate time. That's not good enough. There needs to be a good vs bad element. Sucks.

Cue OMLandshark coming in and saying this was an epic episode and we're all stupid for thinking the whole Jacob/MIB storyline was anticlimatic.
