Or is it merely fan conjecture based on 'clues' from the episodes.
it's literally been mentioned in almost every episode since "The Substitute". This isn't a wacky clue, it's a fact.

For some reason I am worried that they won't answer how Jacob, MIB, and Co. originally got to the island, just how they got involved in the candidate/smoke thing.
I'm quite curious where MIB hails from, since where he originally is from isn't likely to be remotely the same as he left it thousands of years ago. I can understand why he wants to leave the Island, but I'm not sure why he would want to go back where he was born and raised.

If this episode were 4-6 weeks ago, this thread would be at 30 pages by now.
4-6 weeks ago we were still actually theorizing while now we're all just going with the flow since none of us have any idea how it will end.

I'm thinking of going as Charlie because I look somewhat like him already. Anyone have any other suggestions?

I was kind of thinking if Team Jacob loses, then MIB would "infect" or "claim" the entire world, and "we all go to hell" as Isabella said via Hugo.

They will answer this I'm sure.

Go as yourself, and when people ask who you are, say...."Wallace"
Would someone be so kind as to explain to me what this "wallace" stuff is? I've seen some of you mention it at regular intervals.
What's the joke?
TIA

108 is a recurring number in Lost. Jacob asked Hurley and jack to turn the lighthouse dial to 108 degrees. At each degree there was a name. Wallace was written at 108. We're not sure if he is scratched out.
The running joke is the importance of Wallace's name on the dial. People have assumed we are going to meet a Wallace sometime soon and built theories around it. So far nothing...

Wallace was a name in the lighthouse. I believe it was where Jacob told Hurly to point the mirror.

Wallace is going to be Jacob's replacement since there must be a replacement under penalty of death.

And we know the manner of death won't be one of a martyr like Sayid going out in typical Arab fashion with a bomb strapped to his chest. It will involve a stoning death with black and white rocks while being drawn and quartered.

I've mentioned this before, but...what does it take for Jack to become Jacob's replacement? At first I was thinking there might have to be a ceremony of sorts. Now I'm wondering if Jack has already taken Jacob's place and he just doesn't realize it yet.
Thoughts?
Thoughts?

Not sure who would perform the ceremony. I'm guessing it's a process of elimination thing, maybe as soon as there is only one left, then he's "Jacob". I'm thinking that is why MIB tried to round all the candidates up and kill them simultaneously.

I'm starting to somewhat hope that they don't answer it. I would rather that a few mysteries are left at the end of the series.
