Why was last week's episode a lemon?

Last week's episode was alittle boring/pointless. Outside of Jack & Richards interaction in the Black Rock, i couldn't get into it that much.

What about MIB's interactions with Kate, and then Sawyer after he "found out" that Widmore was on the Island?

Not to mention Jack's one shining moment thus far.

Far from a shitty episode....I guess it's just cool to jump on the lost snob bandwaggon, just like so many people are investing so much into tonight's episode.

I enjoyed the hell out of last week. Not a favorite of all time, but had some great individual moments.

Even though I enjoyed last week, I am expecting more from this week. Perhaps the understatement of the month.

I can't confirm this personally, but as for A&E someone in a LOST thread a week or 2 ago said they could. They said that in the propaganda film they showed that young guy (forgot his name) in season 3 in that weird room contained a code that when deciphered said something like "The bones of Adlers rest at the caves" or something along those lines.

I was giving an explanation as to why this thread isn't as lively as last week's. Its becuase the Ben episode was so good it got people amped up and they couldn't wait till the next episode. Aside from a few moments last week, the episode was a lemon and clearly didn't create the kind of momentum heading into this week.

I fully anticipate this episode to change the momentum again and next week we'll have a 25 page pre-episode thread.

Then there will be 3-4 more "meh" episodes until we get to the Jacob/MIB show which will be completely and totally awesome.

I never said it was a shitty episode. I just said I couldn't get into it that much last week. I do agree that the while Widmore situation is very interesting and I'm still trying to gather how this will all play out. I'm just not a huge fan of Sawyer and his flashbacks aren't that interesting to me.

If you like Desmond you should check out the Gospel of John. The same actor played Jesus in that one and he was really good.

yeah the flash sideways wasn't great

to be honest, there have only been a handful of flashbacks/sideways that i've really enjoyed. tonight's should be one of them.

Yes. In the Room 23 video, one of the slides says "Only fools are enslaved by time and space."

This translates to "Bones of Nadlers may lay lost deep in caves." Not necessarily accurate, grammatically or canonically, but it's an Easter egg nonetheless.

I've read that tonight's episode is 66 minutes, 6 minutes longer than normal. If that's true, make sure your DVR's are set accordingly.

I don't know if it is 66 minutes with the same amount of commercials or just 48 minutes of actual runtime with less commercials. I hope it is the latter.

I'm not sure what you mean here but, according to my DirecTV schedular the episode is not supposed to end until 9:06pm.

so supposedly this Zoe chick is extremely important to the rest of the episodes. kinda weird that they would bring in such a pivotal character this late into the game - wish she would be a tad hotter....
