The first Hobbit was actually pretty good, as was a decent amount of Smaug. It just went off the rails with all the Gandalf plot and the filler and extreme CGI in 5 Armies

The hobbit sucks. Still can be fun to watch though.

It was a child’s book compared to LOTR. That’s accurate. It’s supposed to be more fun and less deep

Yeah but even the parts that are trying to hit deep in the movies dont hit the mark.

It’s a goofy movie with too much CGI
It sucks because it sucks, not because it is a children’s book
