I'm a big fan of hers from Andor and think she could excel in a role like this, but again, comes down to writing. They threw Mon Mothma into Ashoka, but arse good as Genevieve O'Reilly is, she was given generic or garbage dialogue to work with and I wish they had just left her out.

No shite, you idiot. Opinions and commentaries can change over time. But, I'm sure you knew that. It was after Israel was determined to be the bad guy and Palestinians the aggrieved victims that opinions on her went from "Great looking but not particularly good actress" to "The worst actress ever in the history of the dramatic arts! And genocidal maniac to boot!"

You’re so naive and/or unaware of recent internet trends. And I am someone that always thought she was an atrocious actress. Nor am I some big pro Israel person by any means at all
But there’s been a huge uptick in certain circles regarding hatred towards Jews. I’ve seen it in person with people (some Muslims) I know. And I know the internet is not really real, but I don’t recall seeing this many openly anti Jew (not talking about the strictly anti-Israel comments) and pro Hitler kind of comments in places like Instagram, YT, TikTok etc before the last 3 years or so.

From a casual fan's perspective she was good enough in 1 but needed replacing in 1984. I don't know how much of that is due to the script; maybe it had to be written with her limitations in mind. From someone who grew up watching Linda Carter Gadot certainly looked the part IMO.

Because I think she’s pretty bad at acting and always have thought that. She can only make it work if there’s minimal dialogue and more action AND she doesn’t have to carry the movie too much

84 was so bad it killed Gadot as WW.
And she supports Israel so she's going to have a harder time getting jobs on top of her acting "ability".
She was just fine in the first WW. It was an enjoyable movie.

Me not liking her acting wasn’t my point. I was trying to say I didn’t have some bias towards her
My point was there are most definitely people out there in today’s world that will openly hate on someone for being Jewish. And not necessarily anti-Israel. I’m not saying it’s extremely common but there has been an uptick in it.
