Who really wants to see backstory filler for every single original character?

A lot of people want a ObiWan focused post prequel story dealing w Vader hunting down Jedi

That would be a cool story if done right. IDGAF about boba Fett though

I'd be happy w both Lando and Boba Fett being miniseries in the same style as Netflix's Daredevil. Both their stories and stature in universe make sense for having individual plots per episode w a mutliepisode plot

You knew Rian Johnson before TLJ?

No one did. The dude made one movie. Star Wars handed their entire IP to just some dude as both writer and director.

What a waste of a stand alone. Fett is the most overrated character in the whole franchise.

Now they are gonna fix that

I want a healthy dose of Bossk, IG-88, Dengar, 4-LOM, and Zuckuss.

Can we do something remotely creative without flipping the entire franchise the bird? Can we get a Star Wars movie where "Ohhh! I know that character/vehicle" doesn't come into play? It really almost makes me respect the prequels.

Please do something different.

They did. It's called The Last Jedi.

Salacious Crumb: A Star Wars Story

Actually I wouldn't mind seeing Tales From Jabba's Palace made into a movie

Not necessarily. Disney torched the EU.

Yeah, no they didn’t. I mean, in their own little world I guess they can “say” they did, but yeah, I’m sorry for them. The EU happened. Disney can eat a dick

Really? You think The Last Jedi didn't flip the entire franchise the bird and it wasn't connected to characters from the OT? Did you see it?

Porkins movie!

I'm not gonna lie; I'd pay good money to watch a Porkin's movie.

Logan is my second favorite movie of the comic book era behind TDK.

I’m curious if this will be the first rated R SW movie.

He is one of the top 10 most iconic SW characters and has had limited screen time.

He is the only iconic SW character that is a blank slate and not limited by canon.

Anything can be done with Boba Fett. We’ve only seen him as a kid in the prequel era, briefly on a Star Destroyer, at Cloud City and in the opening of ROTJ.

I’m willing to bet with the Solo numbers, this movie nor the Obi Wan nor the Rian Johnson trilogy will see the light of day.

Seeing as the original trilogy only had about 10 main characters this isn't impressive.

Just make a new fricking universe.

Set it 200 years before or after the original trilogy.

Keep the rules of the universe. The force. The light. The dark. Classic hero journey, etc... But all new characters.

Stop trying to squeeze a franchise out of every single character ever on screen in the OT.

There is an entire universe of books and games that are built on new characters. Of course, Disney Said frick all that when they bought Lucas and are now reeling from that decision.

I tend to disagree.

Disney and Lucasfilm have already cooked in their expectations for a movie like Solo.

$150-$170 opening is probably their target.

Solo has the challenge of not being a saga film without the intrigue of R1 as the first non saga film. It had many more challenges than that.

Word I’m getting from people that have seen it is that it is very fun and entertaining. Word of mouth should be good.

You can’t hold subsequent SW movies to the standard of TFA or R1 because we are settling into the norm now that we are getting a movie or two a year. SW movies will make tons of money but won’t put up the numbers we saw at first.

They could put up tons of money if they made movies worth that caliber

This movie will finish top five all time for Memorial Day. They're going to make a whole bunch of them, and a whole bunch of money.

Could someone explain to me the love for Boba Fett?

Is it just the book nerds who learned about him through the novels or are folks enamored with Boba Fett from the 22 seconds he was onscreen in the original trilogy before comically dying in Jedi?

Really not seeking out down votes. Just can't understand the love for Fett and I read a few of the minor novels along with the Thrawn trilogy which should have been filmed immediately after the books came out.

Cool looking character with a limited back story that plays a small but awesome role in one of the greatest films of all time and reprised that role in the sequel.

Made for really cool toys and plenty of imagination and creativity.

Disney will give him a prequel trilogy that destroys all the mystique and coolness and simultaneously ruins the character
