Looking forward to this one since the first season was very good.

Thanks for the heads up. Will definitely be watching within the week.

I can’t get into because I’ve seen the entirety of the anime (so far), but it’s gotten friends and family to watch the anime which is awesome.
Glad it shortened the crew getting together.

Watched eps 1 & 2. First was decent, and reminiscent of what I saw in the anime. 2 was even better, imo. Some scenes really hit. Great stuff.

Just watched the first episode. There’s something about the way it’s filmed that’s super distracting to me. Like maybe they actually filmed it at 4K60? I keep all of the smooth motion stuff turned off on my TV but that’s what it reminds me of, so I’m thinking maybe it’s native 60 fps.
Whatever it is, it’s driving me crazy.

Not so fast. Episode three was amazing. Some of the best fight scenes of the series so far.
I love how they’re taking this silly anime and leaning full into it, not letting up. They’re doing an excellent job.
It’s clear where the talent is and where it isn’t in Hollywood.

Finished the season last night, I thought they did a really solid job with it. it brought the feels for sure. I'm by no means a One Piece super fan, i've watched a lot of it, but not nearly enough to care about most differences between anime and live action so i'm sure there is stuff that would bother some and won't me.
Episode 1 was a little off for sure and some pretty bad acting as already said. Episode 2, the last 1/3 was really good. From episode 3 on, I thought the season did a great job. The Drum Island episodes were fantastic. Chopper pulling on all the heart strings.

This is one of the very few series which can introduce a new character and with in 15 minutes have you genuinely caring for or hating them. Whether it's Laboon the whale, Chopper or King Wapol.
And Tony Tony Chopper probably just buried Grogu. Sucks when one of your lead characters can't even speak.

Re-watching season two, and I’m catching references that I missed the first time. Like Laboon , and the idea of living inside of a whale.
I really think Netflix did a great twist from the anime, as some things are just too far out to put into live action.
Unfortunately, because of the way Netflix drops everything at once we don’t get the week to week suspense build up of what happens next. I think last week would’ve been the finale of the series had it been released weekly.
