Yes, cause James Earl Jones knows nothing about Voice acting. Nathan Lane either.

Yeah. JTT. Whoopi Goldberg (she was in Pagemaster). Matthew Broderick.

I'd rather the nameless voice. You know?

It's a marketing strategy to bring well-known actors to the project. I get it. No biggie.

Back then they didn't even tell you who the voices were. You just had to know. Disney never promoted the voices brah.

eta: And you're a fricking moron if you think the only reason The Lion King was successful was because of the voice actors.

I never said that the film was big because of the voices. I said that Disney sold out by getting celebs to do voices. I liked the product, but before Lion King, the majority of the cast wasn't celebs.

Yes, they promoted the names. JTT was at the peak of his Teen career.

Ummm, Disney re-releasing movies is nothing new. How do you think us old folks saw Disney movies before VCRs?

Why not have a 3-D version?

You mean like Bob Newhart, Eva Gabor,Mickey Rooney, Kurt Russel, Vincent Price. That's just off the top of my head.

This didn't start with The Lion King.

2) Disney sold out by putting so many celebrity voices in Lion King after they had success with Robin Williams in Aladdin. If they would have went to real voice actors, it would have been better.

There aren't really that many A-list actors in it. James Earl Jones was the biggest name involved, and he was completely perfect as Mufassa. Plus Lion King was well into production when Aladdin was first released.

Neither of these are A-listers like Robin Williams.

None of them are bad either. Broderick and Goldberg are pretty decent actors. Jtt didn't do bad either. It's probably kinda hard to find a decent child actor anyway.

I don't care about 3D. I wouldn't mind just seeing it in the theater though.

The music makes the movies way more than the voice actors.

David Spade and James Earl Jones are basically the only voice actors that were truly impactful to me in the Disney animated movies off the top of my head.
