There aren't many available plot lines on a tin can in the ocean

FYI, in the navy the term tin can refers to destroyers not subs.

I enjoyed the initial episide. Just hope the writers keep the plots clean.

The best pilot I've seen since Lost, easily. But I'm not sure how they keep it up as a show.

Hopefully word of mouth gives it a boost next week...the ratings were pretty meh for ABC.

I guess people would rather watch shite like Revolution

They also had it on tonight but at the same time as Fringe, which is in it's final season, and Grimm which is midway through it's season.

What shows were on Thursday night that it had to compete against?

I thought it was pretty entertaining, but wildly unrealistic.

it's one of those shows you have to just say frick it and don't let it eat at you...

What was "unrealistic"?

everything?

an ICBM traveling 8,000 miles in 15 seconds?
DOD flipping sonar techs into trained double agents?
a submarine crashing into the bottom of the ocean, flooding compartments, then becoming operational in the span of 10 minutes?

you could go on and on...

Glaring flaws in logic are hard to accept and move on watching, but Id put it somewhere short of Bad Boys part 2 in terms of realism.

Damn, bad boys 2?! That's rough

I kinda agree with you, but I definitely enjoyed it. I like Brauer in that role

Caught it on one of it's reruns.. the writers of this show are some of the best in the biz, but they haven't been able to get traction on network tv yet.. "The Chicago Code" was one of the smartest shows I've ever seen, too bad it only made it 13 episodes.

I liked Chicago Code as well (shocker, we liked the same show). Hope this one can make it.

The only real problem I had was the wrecking on the bottom. They dug a deep-assed trench into the silt then magically were able to start back up without the prop getting screwed up? Seems a bit of a stretch, but okay.

And (in his video) why didn't the Captain finger the DOD undersecretary (or whoever) that stated his name and confirmed the fire order? I would think that naming a name heard by everyone on the bridge would go a great way in getting shite going in DC.
