When we go to page 2 of this thread I'll change it to "Spoilers Included" Fair Enough?

As I understand, this is the show that replaced "Manifest".

I'll say this was a lukewarm premier. This story is pulling from a number of shows such as the disaster movies of the 70's, "lost", "The 100", "Defiance" to name a few.

I felt the acting was really stiff. Even the characters that knows each other like parent-child didn't show that bond in their acting you would expect with people close. It was just reading the lines.

Right now, they should have kept Manifest.

It was aight. I thought the thing with the dad was a little much. I'm sure the thread will get into that later. I'll watch it again next week.

It was very average for a premiere. I don't care for the concussed dad having visions angle. It also has some Terra Nova vibes, if anyone remembers that show.

The acting was definitely not the best, and the CGI animals are pretty bad as well. It seems that they are trying to recreate a Lost type of show with this.

But with that said, even though it looks like a Lost ripoff, if they can pull off even a fraction of the mystery then I guess I'll give it a shot.

It definitely does. I rather enjoyed that when I watched it.

kind of had high hopes but, it was kind of disappointing.

those "callings/visions".

Did Jon Seda really leave Chicago Fire/PD for this?

since they didn't even know where they were, how did they know it was going to be dark soon?

do the vehicles not start? Why not drive the ambulance over to the clearing?

I'm assuming that all of the vehicles fell from the distance from the sinkhole to the crack, and then from the crack to the ground. Most of them looked to be in pretty bad shape because of the impact (which begs the question of how the people survived the impact).

My question about the ambulance was why not just get into the ambulance when the sabretooth tiger showed up instead of running. Did they really need a cliffhanger that bad?

but, wouldn't you at least try to start one?

running seems to be their answer for everything so far.

I actually enjoyed Terra Nova. The first episode of this was not as good and I’m a sucker for this type stuff. I want to know story without watching.

I stopped when the daughter and mom was having the " you need to let me go" conversation while the mom was hanging on the edge of the sinkhole. They were about as calm as could be while the world is going to fooking hell around them lol

That's one of the examples I was referring to. In a situation like that, that daughter should have been damn near hysterical losing her mom that way and how she acted after the event was not any better. Just actors reading line with no feeling.

Maybe that's how the psychopaths that wrote the script would react.

I don't understand who watches these network shows and why.

Are people still using antennas?

I do. I rarely watch these shows though. The more NBC showed the preview to this one(which was like a billion times), the more I had no desire to watch it. I looked worse and worse every time they showed it.

The concept may work. The acting is awful. It's like they only have budget for one take. The script writing for the dialogue is especially bad.

I thought the premiere was fairly interesting, even if the acting was weak. There just isn’t many of these types of shows, so I have high hopes for it. I hope it doesn’t turn into a character driven drama with power struggles. I want lots of exploring this new world with ice age creatures and Neanderthals!

Got around to watching the premiere. The acting is pretty bad. I think it’s good concept though and I’m interested to see where they take it, so I’ll keep watching. And yeah they could’ve done without the Dad with visions angle. I think it’s obvious it’s some kind of time warp..another dimension which is actually an overlay of LA/California from thousands/millions of years ago. It’s interesting, but you think for a network show, they could have got some better acting
