I don't blame her for this monstrosity. She's just doing her thing. I blame Sony for making the wrong decisions with this reboot idea.

Just the picture of them posing by the car is box office poison all by itself. They better try to put this thing out without any previews.

I smell razzy.

So disagreement on the internet is always from trolls? Anybody remember what this word used to mean?

And does anybody know if this is getting less or more negative responses than the ninja turtle remake? That seems like it would be a good comparison to see if this is fueled by sexism or just remake fatigue.

it's a way to ignore reality and criticism.

oh, they just hatin'

probably has the warped view that everyone just loves this shite, can't wait, it has ghostbusters on it!, and she's sure to get good reviews because girl power.

if it tanks, they'll know why, but they'll blame it on bad mouth from a bunch of womenszes hatin' men

The only thing good Kristin Wiig can do for us is get naked, because she definitely doesn't do anything fricking good by acting.

who did ghostbusters appeal to?

that's what someone should have asked before thinking a brand name would bring in guaranteed dollars

who is this movie supposed to appeal to? cuz it ain't the people who loved the original.

who usually shells out to see sci fi comedies about ghosts? because my wife loves the idea, but I bet a million dollars she won't even want to pay $4.99 to rent it when it hits iTunes a few months after release

No, you're fricking their corpses in some macabre money grab.

I'm sure that they'll do a decent job, but the Ghostbusters are men. You wouldn't make a Lassie movie and cast a cat as Lassie, would you?

It's more like casting a female to play Julia bond: 007 secret agent and expecting the people who love james bond to show up and fork over their money.

It's certainly not gonna get my cash.. when I got out to a movie with the wife it typically runs me around a 100 bucks.. Mainly b/c bringing her requires dinner before..

Just not spending any cash seeing this..

precisely. say you have kids (as a lot of people around for the original do), you can tack on an extra hundo on babysitters

it may succeed, but the odds are stacked against it

I just hope I don't have to bring our daughter to see it.

No one seems to care that the original creators gave us a shitty sequel.

Are we also going to act like a lot of it doesn't have to do with the fact that Paul Feig is writing and directing it? Every movie that he has either written or directed has sucked hairy balls.

This movie will be a hit just like all the other Feig/McCarthy movies. For whatever reason, Melissa McCarthy is the hottest comic actor right now. The internet movie nerds complaining about this are a small minority of the movie going public.

I do , but luckily babysitting gets covered a lot by my SIL both of her girls are 18+ so she's got that empty nest syndrome something fierce..

But yeah, if had to pay a sitter as well!.. Big ole negative

While I completely agree with you, this is really a matter of opinion. Feig's movies have been both critically and financially successful.
