Just got out of it. What a dropoff in quality. It's just SJW bullshite, and apparently they dropped some jokes directly referencing Trump. A great example of the politicization of film.

I mean compare this to the wonderful original. It's nothing but political bullshite. They very clearly had Hillary in mind to be President when filming and then were shitting on the Oval Office for no real reason.

Then the Halie Berry feminism bullshite how she wasn't given a position because she didn't have a dick. frick off. It's all bullshite.

They literally blew Obama’s head off in the last one.

SJW this was not, OML.

In 2017, yes. I'm absolutely saying that doesnt happen. We're not a sexist society, and if anything her being a woman would make her rise more rapidly to the top.

You didn't find it believable that a super macho man would say "no" to a bookish woman becoming a field agent? And the fact that Mark Strong also had the same issue didn't alleviate some of the "SJW" issue you seem to have? There were two parts in the whole movie that could've been taken as SJW bullshite, the President being a mad man from the South and Halle Berry becoming a field agent, and you took them both that way. That's it.

You had no problem with the reversal of the sex roles in Eggsy being the loveable woman with the troubled background marrying the prince that is a long used trope and completes his Pygmalion transformation. You had no problem with the villain being a psychopathic woman with a degree from Harvard business school rather than a psychopathic man with a degree from Harvard business school.

All I'm saying is that you're fishing here and trying to find a reason why you didn't like it as much as the first. And I think you're being intellectually dishonest with yourself. If you really thought the movie was pushing a liberal, SJW agenda, then I hate to know what you think about shows like the West Wing or movies like Platoon.

If you didn't like the movie, that's fine, but to say it's because it was SJW bullshite is, well, bullshite.

This is what's so great about the movie. He presents the arguments, but no one wins.

I hate that Merlin went down at the end though, he was a great character

I hate that too, but the way he went out was pretty entertaining. Had me singing "Country Roads" on the drive back home.

Yeah, I'd rather have E kept Merlin and lost Galahad I.

I saw it at the discount theater today. I agree with all your pros and cons. Almost the exact things I would’ve said.

Why are Americans stereotyped so poorly? We are like the most diverse country in the world and all of our Statesmen were cowboys who spoke like...I have no idea.

I finally got around to watching this tonight. I couldn't disagree more with some of y'all saying that Elton John was used too much. His inclusion was my favorite part of the movie. He was hilarious in every scene. Being so over the top is what makes these movies so much fun.

I am mad that they killed of Roxy so early, but other than that I loved this one every bit as much as the first.

I also get the feeling that I am now going to forever associate Take Me Home, Country Roads with this movie

Haven't seen the movie yet but my local whiskey bar was offering flights of Old Forester for a chance to win an Old Forester Kingsman gift basket. I ended up winning a bottle of Old Forester Statesman, 4 heavy Statesman Whiskey glasses, a couple of Old Forester shirts and 4 Statesman/Kingsman Golden Circle coins. Coins are big and heavy like the military coins going around these days. I guess they were a SDCC exclusive. Apparently Old Forester Statesman was made for the movies release. Not sure if the movie is good or not but the whiskey is damn good.
