Go see it. I thought it was just as good as the first one.

Would you have let the druggies die?
Upvote for yes downvote for no.

Julianne Moore is amazing but that was the weakest boss death bar Snoke in movie history.

my only complaint was that the villain just gave up at the end....I love the legalize-or-die angle but they didn't spend enough time on her motives. In any event it's an enjoyable watch and is a worthy replacement for the bond series

I hated that they killed off Roxy

I’d bet money she isn’t dead.

It didn’t make sense why they had to kill off Merlin either. He sacrificed himself to take out 6 guards which is nothing considering Harry and Eggsy took out like 3 times that many with ease in the following fight.

I also don’t think Roxy is dead. She knew she was about to be hit and they showed her trying to get out. She probably has some bunker somewhere.

I know that it had to happen but losing Merlin and Roxy hurt.

With the Collin firth twist, anybody can comeback from the dead

Roxys short lived screen time surprised me. The entirety of the first movie I thought they were setting up a romance between the two and I thought the princess was going to be the common trope girlfriend from an action movie who gets written out for the second movie

he had to step on the mine or it would have exploded and given them away before the assault. He made the best of it by drawing in the guards before hand

he was a great great character...I sure hope Halle berry doesn't take his place

one other thing didn't make sense, how neither of the two groups knew anything about the other. Surely they'd have crossed paths at some point before

The wife is boycotting a 3rd one if Halle Berry is in it. She can take her "one drop theory" and promptly frick off with it.

Or he could’ve just stayed on the mine and they could’ve come back later to defuse it.

When I first watched the trailers I didn’t even realize Pedro Pascal was in it and expected Tatum to be a big player. It was pretty much the opposite.

What's up with that song being used all of a sudden? Alien Covenant, Kingsman 2, Fallout 76, etc.

From IMDB:
quote:

This was the third film of 2017 to feature the song "Take Me Home, Country Roads" by John Denver. The other films to feature the song were Alien: Covenant (2017), and Logan Lucky (2017) (which also stars Channing Tatum). The director, Matthew Vaughn, was shocked when he found out about how popular Denver and his songs had become in 2017 films, with him saying he "...wrote John Denver into the script two and a half years ago thinking 'No one really talks about John Denver anymore.'"

Agree with this. I loved the first one. This one was ok with some cringy moments. The "southern" accents were terrible, like scott bakula in NCIS NOLA.

Yeah and I’m a big fan of Pedro Pascal, but his cowboy accent was horrible. They should have kept him as a Spanish agent like in Narcos.
