Just finished it the battle of the regulars was solid. Thought the first comic had the best set of the four. Jeff Ross also had some good one liners. Overall solid show for an arena.

I thought all the sets from the battle were pretty good.
I don’t think there was one good bucket pull the whole show. Most were terrible. I’m glad Tony leaned heavily on the regulars and legends bucket.

I get why he does the arenas but the show is so much better at the clubs. For Netflix, film three or four club shows in a week and let them pick which one they want for Netflix. Tony can use the other shows for the normal YouTube episodes.
The normal shows are much better and would do a better job of making the Netflix viewers become regular fans of KT.

I agree 100%. The arena shows are just a spectacle. They aren’t really why the show has such a big audience. Tony and Redban totally fricked up with the shows they chose to do with Netflix. They had a prime opportunity to grow their audience with showing the Netflix audience why Kill Tony is so popular and just show a normal / organic episode or two at the mothership. They instead tried to manufacture a “best of” type of show at the mothership and then did an arena show. It also seems like they made a bad deal that allows Netflix control over the production and content for those shows. The first mothership special looked weird and they apparently cut a bucket pull from the MSG show - Redban said on Reddit that he wasn’t even aware that it was done.

Would guess they've been trying to negotiate a deal for a while now. Seems like this 4 episode deal with Netflix was to get an idea of the kind of numbers the show pulls. Might have been a case where Netflix sticks a toe in the water to see the reaction. 'Ok you think the show is worth this much, will give you 4 episodes and see what the numbers are.'

That’s 1000% what this is. A “test run” and if the numbers are where Netflix wants them they would sign a long term contract. Just weird as I seem to remember Tony making comments about not wanting to be behind a paywall.

Haha. That would be insane. I actually was thinking that they need someone like Kam to replace the black guy that they fired. Didn’t think he’d be seriously considered though. I’ve never seen him act so no idea how he’d do at SNL. And that’s a hard arse job too. But he’s been getting acting roles…
