First time. Also likely last. This is one twisted pile of hot, stinking, cynical perversion. I feel dirty for having watched it at all - didn’t believe they were serious. God help us if this is entertainment.

It's definitely intense and some are tough to watch.

But the first one isn't indicative of the entire series.

They are not all like that and that episode probably has some of the most extreme subject matter in the series.

This is as close to verbatim as it gets to my reaction a couple years ago. There's no turning back from that. Despite all the hype, I'll never be able to commit haha.

Yeah, it's highly underrated. Probably in my top 5 episodes.

Not sure I'm into giving this trash a second look.

I watched the first episode based on the praise from this board.

I think there's a new Chonda Pierce special on Netflix that they can check out instead.

With his word choice in describing his revulsion I'm guessing he's a senior citizen. I don't think I'd recommend BM to my parents because half the episodes do contain the kind of material they've spent their life avoiding. It's not for them and that's ok, because if it was for them we probably wouldn't like it as much.

Most people view that episode to be the worst of the series. The other episodes are far different.

Maybe so, but so what. Maybe there are really a few of us with higher standards than others for what we think entertainment is. You gotta admit the bar is pretty low for this one.

What really disgusted me is when the PM was about to do the deed, and got started and they started showing all the leering faces gathered in the pubs and sports bars and work places to watch this happening live. Like as if it was the World Cup or the Super Bowl. Sure there were some who were horrified that this was happening; a few sniffles amongst the laughter and jeering. But mostly peep show faces, fascinated by this whole thing. Sickos, IMO.

That was kind of the point.

Got my g/f to watch BM with me this weekend. We skipped ep 1 because I had seen it. I told her she didn't want to watch. If she watches it on her own then it's on her

As disturbing as it may be, that episode is completely plausible including our societal fascination with trainwreck TV.

The first episode is the worst episode. I was pretty turned off of it too. Even the second episode is a lot better. It does tend to be very dark though. I can't handle watching very much in a short period.

How many gd fricking times are you people gonna have to be told not to watch the first episode first? If you're gonna ignore that advice, you don't deserve the absolute sheer and utter greatness that is the rest of the series.
