Best movie of last year and the best RomCom I've seen in a good while.

Yes she was surrounded by a great cast, and yet I still found her best thing in the movie which has to mean something.

with the exception of the 30 second scene of her chewing the guys head off nothing else about her performance was THAT incredible. it was a great performance and certainly nomination worthy by all means, but the Academy got this one right.

This. I enjoyed Zero Dark Thirty, but didn't leave thinking the movie would not have been the same without Chastain.

The wife and I watched it last night. Ill say this, Cooper and J Law killed it, I felt awkward at times watching. I thought it was a great movie. I dont go to the theater that often so when a movie gets a ton of accolades i dont now about, but JLaw deserved the win. I was pissed that Chastain didn't win at the time, but that was before I had seen SLP.

Two thumbs up.

i liked this movie but it was so unrealistic to me, how do these people live? nobody has jobs, sure would be nice to go dance in a garage all day.

Deniro is a bookie.
Cooper just got out of a mental institute, hes not going to have a job.
Lawrence just got fired.

Dude....theyre both crazy. One is worried about getting his wife back and the other is probably living off insurance money.

Love silver and zdt. Slight edge to zdt.

However, lawrence > chastain.

Yet, coop > lawrence.

But, de niro > coop.

Geez. Was last night watch Silver Linings Playbook night?

I thought Cooper did a better job than Lawrence, but both were incredible. I need to watch the movie again.

I think Lawrence was brilliant..
Cooper's performance is overrated in my worthless opinion.
He was way too 'actory' and seemed forced instead of genuine impulses.
Yes I'm a method snob.
Yes I still loved the movie.
Yes I still like Cooper.

Saw it last night also. Very good movie, and performances by the entire cast. If you want to get picky about the story itself. What threw me off was that i guess the moral of the story is if you are bipolar, just find someone just as messed up as you and everything will end up ok in the end which is unrealistic.

But then again, it is just a movie. But overall, even with its faults. It was much better than most movies out there right now.

Contrary to what many here seem to believe. I actually think Cooper had the stronger performance. Not saying Lawrence didn't deserve the Oscar. I thought she was great.
