Matinee showing of Super Mario Galaxy in BR today was under $10/person for the standard version

Kids were under $7

Me and Sun God Jr paid ~$25 with a drink to split

We also could’ve gotten in for free or seen another movie; not a soul was there to check for our tickets

Nope. She loves to drown her popcorn in that fake-arse crap they refer to as butter, and I can't even stand the smell of it, much less consume it.

Don't go to the movies. It's usually a destible outing given all of the inconsiderate slobs in there with you.

It's been out of control for a while now. The last movie the wife and I went to see was the last "Top Gun-Maverick" and between tickets, 2 popcorns and 2 medium sodas, it was over $50.

To me, that's insane.

Did you enjoy the movie? Did you have a nice time overall? Did you hold hands, touch her leg, enjoy the moment? If any of that is yes, that $50 was worth it.

I’ve never seen $20 a ticket. That’s insane. I always catch matinees and never get concessions. The theatres definitely lose money on me

Just got out of normal and the tickets for reclining seats were $30 a ticket. Went to the non reclining and they were $13 per ticket.

Yea I did. Because when you factor in price comparison, you are spending 400% more for a ballgame than a movie. And yes, an entire movie experience is 2-3 hours just like a MLB game

That is a cheap as hell 2-3 hour date night my man

I don’t understand the theater hate one bit. I’m also cheap AF and don’t need 3D, power seats, or pulled pork nachos brought to me

How many more times can I go to the exact same baseball game with the exact same players? The game being relatively unique drives significant value. Plus it’s live. Watching it on a pay per view basis on TV would be equivalent to less than $5

I hate having to reserve your seats in advance. You lose the ability to choose who you want to sit by or more importantly who you don’t want to sit by.
