Just like many movies today, Cheesy lines and unnecessary humor are ruining the impact of action thriller movies

The problem with the parody theory is that it’s not true at all therefore it wasn’t self aware at all either. Shane Black said that this movie would return to the original style and feeling of the first one and reset the franchise onto its proper course. What really happened is a stupid movie about aliens stealing autism of all things lol and setting up for more of this garbage. The formula of the original was simple and effective, special forces guys in the jungle, they encounter a supreme enemy and they try to survive. It didn’t need to be anymore than that.

It had a good plot and good comedy. I really enjoyed it, and then in the last 30 minutes it went straight to hell when the plot, writing, comedy, and finish all turned to crap.

Holy shite, you're telling me you time-traveled from the late 70s straight to the mid 2010s, totally bypassing the 80s and 90s, during which time almost every action movie was exactly this?

This is where I'm at. It was stupid, but it moved fast and had good action. It was a classic brain off, enjoy it movie.
It's nowhere near the first Predator, but let's not act like the remainder of the franchise is like the Godfather. A solid popcorn flick is midlevel among Predator films.
