I'm halfway thru season 4 and struggling to get thru it. Its a well made show but just not fun for me. Ready to start something else.
See, I felt this way after season one. Even started a thread, which of course I got blasted about.
I'm not going to deny that it is superbly well done. But I was exhausted by binge watching it. I kept having to stop, take a break, and come back to it. I genuinely hated most of the characters.
It is one show that I can say probably would've tremendously benefited from the pacing of network tv schedule. Gives you time to digest, process, etc.
I want to say again: It's not that I didn't like it, it's not that it wasn't good. The nonstop feed of binge watching made me develop a genuine hate for all of the character that literally made me dread clicking next episode.

How nice it must be to watch the entire series all the way through with no breaks.
It was so hard waiting after the cliff hangers to end the season
The wait was worth it

The wait between seasons, made the experience much more enjoyable.

It's a beautifully shot and edited show, the music and scores are fitting, acting is great with great writing.
A Top 5 solid series from start to finish of the past 25 years.

Just finished watching the 4th episode. Also needless to say I'm intrigued.

You've summer it up perfectly. I realize its a high quality show. But the storyline and the humorless, depressing, unlikable characters make me want to take breaks.

Now that you watched Breaking Bad, Now meet The Real Walter White:

Now meet The Real Walter White:
Is that purely a coincidence or did Gilligan base Breaking Bad loosely off of him???
Don't know the exact time frame, but seems like purely coincidental and also dumb because they would owe him $$$ for using his likeness

Sounds like you had a major Walter White experience.

Other than Saul and Gus, I absolutely hated just about every character in the series, but still loved the show, which is saying something

They really are a bunch of unlikable assholes except for Saul, who is a likable a-hole.
