8 - Events in Mereen i.e. Dany, Barristan, Quentyn (Dany's were dreadful. Same thing every chapter. Barristan and Quentyn were great, though.)

I thought Dany leaping into the fighting pit was her best scene at least since the pyre, maybe even better.

Dany taking the army of Unsullied is easily her best moment, IMO.

Making her brother walk after he hit her. That was the first sign of growth.

Ive read them all and watch the show. Gotten everyone I know in to it. My sister finished ADWD yesterday and her theory is Jon is really Mance when he gets killed.

Jon can't leave the Wall, he didn't leave when he heard about Arya. After "Mance" goes to Winterfell, he acts like a different person in the way he talks to everyone especially Stannis' wife.

Then when he gets the letter he has to leave? Maybe it could of been Mance going because he knows Jon is trapped

What yall think?

That is an interesting theory, but I'm not sold on the "talking different to people" evidence. I'm not going to claim that I remember everything exactly, but was it mention in the book that John wasn't himself or something to that nature?

Here is my ranking:
1. JonCon's journey (love the thought of another Targaryen out there)
2. Almost everything else
3. Reek and Theon - just disgusting for the most part, I could hardly read it with the mutiliation

4. Events in Mereen - this ruined the book for me. Who gives a shite about Mereen? Get back to Westeros, dammit!

I don't buy it really either. I've read alot on the westeros and toth websites, and just never seen that theory before.

It just made me think it could be true, because he was always really nice and respectful to Stannis' wife, then he wasn't. He wouldn't leave the wall even though all is family died and Arya was a captive, and now he will. AND Ghost continually stays away from him at the end. It's crazy enough to be something GRRM would pull. Either way, he ain't dead

I agree with all those as well. I want everything to revolve around Jon though. Everything he does and has done is awesome.

I am curious to see if Bloodraven is a bad guy, cause he wasn't all that nice a long time ago

Besides the fact that the theory makes zero sense given you are seeing Jon's POV in the chapters, and Mance wouldn't think that way, there are two other reasons it's not true.

One, Jon is not a musician and couldn't play at the wedding. Two, Jon would know the bride wasn't Arya, and sure as hell wouldn't get himself killed saving some random friend of Sansa's.

Agreed his POV's have always garnered the most interest from me.

I don't like where Bran is at right now I'll just say that. Something is off about the children and bloodraven IMO

Wait! So the dude in Winterfell with the 3 women who were killing the Bolton's men are really Mance Raider and 3 free women from north of the wall?... How did I miss that?

Yep. Abel = Mance. When I realized, I had a huge grin on. Remember that Mance took spearwives with him, that's why the girls were so good at killing.

I know, I love how when you have a different POV, there can be a character that is prominent in a different POV, yet you have to put things together to realize that they're the same person. It's all in the descriptions. Can't do that with on-screen media

Absolutely. Once again, mindblown.

ETA: I had a question to ask you, what's your email Carson (if you don't mind)?
