Yeah. She's introduced as the best goalie in the United States but Bombay played favorites with his Ducks. Coach Orion had fresh eyes and made the obvious choice.

There’s nothing to change. This is common knowledge.
Goldberg sucked and had no business on that team, just lake most of the other kids from the original Ducks team.
Also, having a kid on the team (Luis) who could only skate fast and literally couldn’t even play hockey, was also egregious.

Yup. Not to mention that Charlie was actually terrible at hockey. But not giving the last shot to Banks was egregious.
Goes down as some bad decisions by otherwise good coaches. Similar to Norman Dale in Hoosiers when he wants to use Jimmy Chitwood as a fricking decoy in the last play of the championship game.
A Mighty Ducks overanalyze thread would be fun.

Yeah his old teammates took him out.
Lot of hate for bombay but the guy was only coaching for 2 years and won the little league championship and won TEAM USA. Coach in the 3rd been coaching his entire life. Bombay >>>>
I still love that he got into coaching because of his DUI minutes into the movie

Julie was a hot head. She got her shot and immediately got ejected with Portman. Her fault for not being able to show her stuff.
Also for years I thought Gunner Staal was same guy who played sunshine in remember the titans.

She got her shot because Goldberg was getting lit up. Bum should've been pulled earlier after he let Trinidad get two goals.

Funny enough the guy that played Gunner is also the guy that played Scooter in D3 (the other goalie that has a crush on Julie). So, he played two different characters.

some of you guys don't really understand what makes bombay such a great coach and the ducks such a great time. it's not about putting the best player into every situation, it's about putting the right one there.
