He almost single handedly killed the superhero movie genre.

Damn, what are the chances?

I made a joke about him while playing D&D over the weekend.

Meh. If it wasn't for Schumacher we never get Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. And it wasn't as much Schumacher's fault as it was the studio's. There are numerous retrospective pieces and documentary shorts out there concerning the making of Batman & Robin. Poor Joel had almost no control over the making of that film whatsoever. The movie was made for the expressed purpose of selling toys.

Batman Forever was the first movie I ever saw in a theater. Huge fan of his Batman films, A Time to Kill, The Client. RIP.

Go watch them again. I get people liking them for nostalgia, but his batman films were the worst.

B&R gets the most hate but Batman Forever was awful. I'd probably rather watch B&R for its so bad its good factor

though kid me was a big fan of peak Kidman

and I got this bad arse toy out of it

I watched them last fall. I love the Nolan films, but that's not the type of movie I'm expecting with the Schumacher films. I find them more entertaining than most of the Marvel/DC stuff that comes out now.

I always got a pedo vibe from this guy. Maybe it's the fact that he directed so many troubled child stars.

His earlier stuff was better than the movies you listed.
