I'm 5 episodes in and this show misses Kilgrave badly. Once again, Hogarth is the worst part of the show. And Trish really is a dumbass.

There's no way you can move forward with Trish's character without adding her husband to the mix.

That would require a "Midnight Sons" series.

Just finished it. It was just ok. The exact definition of mediocre and ordinary. This season had no main villain at all and that just dragged the season down. Even Jessica's mom didn't qualify as that as it was just a sad and tragic story.

But I will say that this season really showed just how much Jessica Jones really is the most self loathing character in all of the MCU. Season One may have started it but this went to another level. She's a mental head case of a drunk. Not even Batman is so down on his sorrows and misery like Jessica is and he's one of the most gloomy characters there is in all of comics.

Jessica's mom is better off dead. Her brain was so broken that there was no reasonable way to believe she could properly function in mainstream society and she was a danger to herself and others around her. Death is a sweet release for her.

I agree the Hogarth stuff took up way too much time but the way she set up Inez and Shane for her revenge at the end was fricking dirty and cold. She's a bad bitch that you do not want to frick with.

You actually know something like this about a supporting character related to what always has been one of the most obscure characters in all of comics.

I've said it before but I'm just really impressed how thorough your knowledge of comic books and its characters are. You are the hardcore comic book nerd I wish I was.

I just really want to see a Midnight Sons show (Blade, Hellstrom, Werewolf by Night, Moon Knight, Man-Thing, Morbius, etc)

Finished last night. Probably the worst marvel season on Netflix and I really disliked iron fist.

The lawyer had a more interesting story than Jessica this season

No way

She is by far the worst character in all of the Marvel shows. I literally could not give less of a shite about her storyline.

The more I watch, the more it sucks. Not sure I'm going to finish this one, but not sure if there is any info needed to link to the next season of the other Defenders characters.

Dude, you have some serious spoilers in your post and not even a spoiler tag. Especially this early people are going to be reading this thread to see if they want to watch it, so please edit appropriately.

They've reached the point in which the show strays far from the source material.

In the comics, Jessica Jones-Cage has two primary adversaries:

-Purple Man

-Herself

Her best friend in the comics is not Trish Walker, it's Carol Danvers.

Much of her story arc involves her marriage to Luke and raising Danielle.

Season 2 seemed more about Trish Walker becoming Hellcat than Jessica.

Just finished it. Very meh. As others have said, Hogarth was pointless. The best episode was with Killgrave.

I've watched season 1 numerous times. Doubt I'll watch this season again.

I thought I read somewhere that we would be getting. Moon Knight series or film. I'm not opposed to Man-Thing either (Whatever knows fear, burns at the touch of the Man-Thing).

Finished.

Pretty low key season. I'm not sure I loved it, but I didn't dislike it.

Jessica and a great arc in the show, honestly. I thought both the Hogarth and Trish stories were good. They are trying to fill the world with characters.

I'd put it on par with Iron Fist for now. Bottom tier of the Marvel seasons, but still a good watch.

I changed my mind, Trish is worse than Hogarth.

I actually think that the only reason Luke Cage season 1 wasn't the worst is that Cornell Stokes was such a great villain. As soon as he is killed, the season goes in the toilet.

Going forward though, I'm concerned that they've so thoroughly fricked up the relationships in that show.

It's well established that Luke Cage and Jessica Jones are a couple (Danielle Cage becomes Captain America in the far future - inheriting her father's unbreakable skin and strength and her mother's limited flight ability and temper). It's also established that Misty Knight and Danny Rand are a couple. (There was an Elseworlds one-off in which she never miscarried and Lucy inherited the mantle of Iron Fist from her father)

Both Danielle (Danni) Cage and Lucille (Lucy) Rand were named after the other's fathers.

In the latest Purple Man arc of the Alias comic, he possesses a 5-year old Danielle to get to her.

Like I said earlier, The way she set her revenge up in getting shane killed and sending Inez to prison for life was fricking dirty and cold.
