Jesse’s life if Walter White would’ve never entered it?

Just finished a re-watch of Breaking Bad and ended up liking and feeling for Jesse a ton the second time around. He was a loser, junkie...but was a solid, good hearted person. If not for WW coming into his life, he prob would’ve eventually figured life out and lived decently. WW brought him a ton of agony and grief and never really any benefit. Yea, he made some dough, but what did it really do for him?

My guess is he hits rock bottom by prob serving a little time for petty crimes, gets a trade, and settles down living a decent life and working a steady job. Prob marries a chick similar to Jane and has a couple kids which settles him down even more.

Prob has occasional parties with skinny P and badger, but overall has a decent, clean life.

F*** Walter White. Dude was a POS and ruined a ton of lives. The only benefit of any of his actions served zero purpose only to feed his ego. The only ‘winner’ in the entire series was Ted Beneke...until he had his accident.

The fact that you think that about WW proves how well the show was done!

Jesse would have gotten arrested or killed if not for WW if I had to guess. He wasn’t just an addict. He was a dealer

Small time drug dealer who probably gets caught up in a squabble over drugs/money and is shot and killed

He would have ended up in prison or dead within a year

I have to disagree. Without meeting Walt, I think Jesse definitely flounders around for a little until he ends up prison for a long time, if he isn’t killed first. He was not on a good path.

Edit: remember his partner had just gotten arrested, and he and Krazy-8 wanted to kill him from the start.

Jesse made choices. Walter didn't force him to do anything.

He didn’t force him to do anything but he definitely pushed some shite on him.

like killing his girlfriend

Wasn't his partner a DEA rat? He was going to get sent to jail for cooking in short order.

Jesse had mental issues long before WW came along.

Furthermore, Jesse caused just as many, if not more, problems for the pair as WW did.

Jesse was spineless and weak. He was doomed for a really shitty death. If anything WW made him stronger.

Jesse wasn't just a user and dealer.... the guy was a manufacturer, a producer of product with a small distribution org underneath him.

Any empathy or sympathy for Jesse is wasted. That guy only cared about one person ..... himself. Jane and the kid should have never been sucked in by him in the first place.

some people make Jesse out to be a victim but he was going down the road before Walt was and he was ballsy and just smart enough to do something really dumb, frick with the wrong people and get killed or be in prison.

Jesse had his chances to get out.

It would have been a funny turn if he went really christian. Would have been a cool comparison to WW and see how those interactions would have gone.

He would have ended up in jail, sub par all his life always believing he was mediocre and trying to impress people. Getting beat down and disrespected.

Jesse season 4 and 5A is an intelligent man and not a dumb kid. After 5a, he is a broken man. But time with walter gave him confidence.

Walter taught jesse to apply himself.

Wait, wasn't she clean when they first met?

If I remember right, it was Jesse that influenced her getting back on the dope.

She made the decision to walk back to his room after he told her to leave.

WW didn't kill Jesse's girlfriend. He didn't do anything to prevent her from dying though.

already been mentioned but jesse would surely be dead by now without walt. When we first meet him he's a small time nobody putting friggin chili powder in his meth. His supplier(I think?) was alreayd locked up and that other asian dude was already super pissed at him. Hank knew about pinkman from the get go as well. So maybe not dead, but surely locked up or living some kind of trash hotel life with wendy.

Although he encountered massive heartache and loss as a direct result from walt, his end result was getting a new start in a new place with complete freedom and a new life. I think that's probably better than what he woudl have done on his own.

Jesse was on a ticket to being a low life petty drug dealer/user.

He either gets shot, or arrested, or ODs
