I have to disagree. Without meeting Walt, I think Jesse definitely flounders around for a little until he ends up prison for a long time, if he isn’t killed first. He was not on a good path.

Jesse was a dumbass. If it wasn't WW it would have been something else he would have gotten himself into.

His parents were done with him and he lacked confidence. He got more from WW than he would have got from those losers he hung out with.

Most junkies are good hearted people.

WW didn't kill Jesse's girlfriend. He didn't do anything to prevent her from dying though.

His actions (shaking Jesse) is why Jane ended up on her back and aspirated. So while he did not intend to kill her his actions were the proximate cause of her death. This adds another layer to the moral issue of his lack of intervention once she was chocking.

In the end, letting her die ended up being just another time WW probably saved Jesse's life. Over the course of the show each time he saved Jesse's life it became more and more about Walter and less about saving another person specifically Jesse.

Until the last time he did.

Just finished a re-watch of Breaking Bad and ended up liking and feeling for Jesse a ton the second time around. He was a loser, junkie...but was a solid, good hearted person. If not for WW coming into his life, he prob would’ve eventually figured life out and lived decently. WW brought him a ton of agony and grief and never really any benefit. Yea, he made some dough, but what did it really do for him?

My guess is he hits rock bottom by prob serving a little time for petty crimes, gets a trade, and settles down living a decent life and working a steady job. Prob marries a chick similar to Jane and has a couple kids which settles him down even more.

Prob has occasional parties with skinny P and badger, but overall has a decent, clean life.

F*** Walter White. Dude was a POS and ruined a ton of lives. The only benefit of any of his actions served zero purpose only to feed his ego. The only ‘winner’ in the entire series was Ted Beneke...until he had his accident.

He would have kept on as a low-level drug peddler for a couple years before getting picked up some distribution charges and serving a couple months. After getting out, he has no college education, no life skills, and, in his early 30s, would not have the means or discipline for either going to college or sticking to a traditional course.

Also, he is hyper-emotional and beta af.

WW at least made his life interesting.

She made the decision to walk back to his room after he told her to leave.

Yes, any decent human being doesn't give her that option.

WW didn't kill Jane...Jesse did.
