This should make the oscars more interesting for best actress

Conclave - Peter Straughan - Screenplay of a Motion Picture

Thought this was somewhat of a surprise as well. This is only one I have seen from the nominees so far, but with the hype of Brutalist & Anora I was happy to see it go to Conclave. Seeing Anora today and maybe some day Brutalist will be available at my local theatres

I was looking for the one from 2019 (because he specifically said five years ago), but couldn't find it.

So, you don’t like good movies and TV? This is a weird board to be on.

Jodie Foster - True Detective: Night Country - Actress in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture for TV

A) The show was terrible
B) Foster was even more terrible
C) Cristin Milioti was robbed. Not just robbed, but tied up, pistol whipped, and then robbed.

Good to see Shogun get so much love.

I’m referring to Gervais hosting in 2020 right before everything went to hell.

I looked for 2020 as well and couldn’t find it. I can normally find threads via google but only really looked for a few seconds.

I wasn’t posting at that time, but the Gervais set went incredibly, incredibly viral. Best hosting job since Conan hosted the Emmys and shat all over Jeff Zucker saying that his own boss fricking sucks and should be fricking shite canned with a massive musical and dance number. Granted Zucker later got revenge on Conan by making sure he was fired after only seven months hosting the Tonight Show.

Hollywood is dead.

For over two years now. They don’t film as much and most of it is filmed overseas. I mean, look at this very unimpressive list of nominees. Emilia Perez is for the most part considered a mediocre to bad movie, and hasn’t been well received by the trans or woke people it’s supposedly catering to, and it won multiple awards.

Basically haven't seen any of these movies. Can anyone vouch to which of these movies are worth watching?
