Coming from the side that is cheering over kids drowning in Texas because their parents may have not voted the way they wanted them to makes me smirk at this comment

Please show me anywhere that anyone is cheering over kids drowning.

How about this as a Superman talking point? "Kal El came to this country, immediately assimilated himself by learning the language, customs and traditions of America - even proudly adopting the name, Clark Kent. He not only didn't become a drain on American society by getting a job, he selflessly went about doing what he could to protect and better the United States."
None of those things have anything to do with legal vs illegal immigration.
If we went by those rules we'd have to let everyone in and see which ones "learned the language, customs, and tradiitions" in their first few years before we could kick any illegals out

Yeah even if their original adoption was fraudulant he is still legal unless someone went through the legal process to void/nullify his adoption.
Yep, but it wasn't a fraudulent adoption because they adopted an abandoned child. Roaad pointed this our in the other thread, and he's correct. It's the same as adopting an abandoned baby you find in a dumpster.
You have to ignore actual immigration and adoption laws to refer to Superman as anything other than "US citizen."

It sure as hell does. You've got idiots protesting illegal immigrants being deported yet wave the flag of another country.

The person you are responding too is a far left partisan democrat. Anyone who disagrees with that person on any topic is some -ist or -phobe

The media hasn't used Illegal Immigrant since before 2016. And I mean generally, not every single person in the media, 100% of the time.
Posted on 7/8/25 at 12:34 pm to TigerMyth36
And yet "immigrant" still doesn't mean "illegal immigrant"
Posted on 7/8/25 at 12:35 pm to boogiewoogie1978
Ok. He can go back where he came from too

Like I said, you leftists are using Superman as a shield to blunt any criticism of open borders.
Posted on 7/8/25 at 12:44 pm to Roaad
I don't disagree but don't act like it isn't used interchangeably now by almost 100% of the media. Hell, they have themselves believing it isn't illegal anymore. Just look at AOC attacking Homan because in her mind they've committed no crime.

None of that bullshite matters if the movie sucks. Who cares?

He was literally a rip off of John Carter of Mars.
Your trolling and misuse of "literally" aside, you really have very little insight into the origins of Superman. While A Princess of Mars influenced Siegel, Shuster, George Lucas, James Cameron, Michael Crichton, and Carl Sagan... it's not the stolen origin of Superman that you claim it to be.
Siegel was also influenced by Doc Savage, but more so by the science fiction novel Gladiator (which he took specific strength rationale from). Throw in the origin of Moses and you have several influences, all working in to create a new character.
And Burroughs himself was influenced by The Jungle Book, possibly Gulliver Jones on Mars, and definitely by the pulps that came before him.
But yeah, immigrant sons Siegel and Shuster did create Superman. Influences and all.

They downvoting that poster, because that poster is a smug douche.
Anti-wokes probably don't even read the posts before downvoting that poster.
Wokies do the same to SEK.
I am not even saying it as a criticism, I get it.
Sometimes you see a poster's name, and you already know what they are going to say. I am rarely surprised by the content of posts by posters I am familiar with. . .like virtually never.

It’s a comic book movie. The only people crying about it are conservative outrage-merchants, whose entire business is making up hypothetical shite to stay angry about.
