Easily the best Carpool Karaoke that he has done.

Can't believe that he got McCartney to invest that much time and energy into those segments. Pretty amazing.

He has a new album out. This was a marketing play. And an awesome and brilliant marketing play.

I know but, shite, when they're pushing an album they usually just show up for a chat or a quick ride in the car. This is like a half-hour TV program.

Maybe he's amazed at the way he helps him sing his song.

Wish people would stop doing these with him so he can fade away and we can finally get a good host again for that show.

Corden absolutely sucks as a late night host - and the carpool thing has gone stale. We can all agree on this, right?

And that we miss this guy:

I never really watched late night talk shows after 2000 but occasionally I would watch Craig Ferguson because he was pretty funny and didn't condescend to his audience or be smarmy.

Yeah that must have taken forever to film...with all the set-ups and cuts and edits...and setting up the camera crew at each location let alone that band in the pub.

Probably a weekend.

The pub was the best part; I love how it became a fire-hazard in about 5 minutes.

That was epic.

James Corden is a more spazzy version of Jimmy Fallon. They do the whole song and dance routine that appears to be popular with a certain audience. At first I wondered how he got the job, but his spazzyness grew on me. He's OK.

If you only watched him occasionally, you probably missed seeing the depth and breadth of this guy. Ferguson did the most ridiculously silly stuff on his show, but sometimes he got serious, and he was always riveting. And the ladies loved him. He could make inappropriate comments to his hot female guests, but he always did it in a way that charmed them. IMO Craig Ferguson was the best late-night host ever.

Craig Ferguson talks about his dad

Ferguson refused to joke about Britney Spears when she was melting down:
Craig Ferguson won't kick Britney while she's down

Instead, he talked about his own alcoholism:
Craig Ferguson talks about his alcoholism

Thoroughly enjoyed this. We got a brief history lesson on the upbringing of The Beatles. Learned and saw things I never knew about. Very cool stuff. Also, very little was talked about his new album.

Or when they went into his old house and they looked out the window and a crowd had already formed.

How fricking happy was that crowd in that pub. Jesus.
