It’s time to see the Ewoks again

It’s been 39 years since Return of the Jedi.
They didn’t make the prequels, nor Disney’s soft reboot/failure trilogy.
Even the nerdy current-canon stuff like the Disney+ series or animated shows like Clone Wars don’t mention them.

They’re fine. They work well as an anti-colonial guerrilla warfare allegory.
The third movie of any beloved trilogy has an uphill battle trying to please everyone. Even without noting the favorable hindsight given to us by the Prequel and Sequel trilogies, ROTJ is a fine movie.

Two made an appearance in Rise of Skywalker. If you care that much, watch the old live-action spinoff movies like Battle for Endor.

Another face palm from Lucas. I can't imagine if they were released today. People would be flipping out at Disney for putting these out. Except Lucas was way ahead of them. Maybe Star Wars and Disney are a perfect match after all.

sue me but its my favorite SW movie. Probably just due to when it came out and me being a 4 year old and obsessed with it.
I just always love finales of a trilogy. Return of the King another example.
