It's Always Sunny...Why did I wait so long to watch this show?

I'm only a few episodes into season 2 but I've enjoyed every episode. It's a bit like Seinfeld where everyone is basically a good person but they take turns doing bad things so nobody becomes unlikable. It doesn't have the well crafted multilayered story telling of Seinfeld, but the characters are great.
Are they able to maintain the quality throughout? There are 11 seasons on NetFlix and I know the show is still going on FX.

They don't remain good people throughout, but the show remains great almost the entire time. Stick with it

Yes. There's classic episodes in each season.

i watched the first 5-6 seasons
not sure why i havent kept watching, i guess its because i dont have the other fx channels.
i enjoyed the episode with rowdy roddy piper
the addition of danny devito made the show a masterpiece when it was already brilliant to begin with

I was lukewarm on the show when it first came out. A few weeks ago I decided to give it another shot and have been watching 2 - 3 episodes per day via DVR. Most of it is pretty recent and damn funny. I think it's improved with age. Or I've become a worse person.

Each character slowly becomes a worse person each season.

Just like Seinfeld they're all terrible humans

The terrible things each character has done to someone is too long to list.

lol
i thought they were all borderline bad people since season one
but yes they become horrible
dennis is one step away from being a sexual predator plus his narcissitic and sociopathic tendencies make him bad lol
charlie lied about having cancer
frank always has some scheme to make money and doesnt mind being naked inside a couch or sofa
mac and sweet dee (whom are married in real life), have their own issues.
theyre all interesting thats for sure

It takes a slight dip in quality around seasons 5-7 (i think) but the last few seasons have been some of their best work IMO.

Those seasons are great.
Season 5 has the Gang exploits the mortgage crisis, the gang hits the road, the waitress is getting married, the world series defense, the gang wrestles for the troops, kitten mittens, mac and dennis break up, the dennis system, etc.
Season 6 has mac fights gay marriage, dennis gets divorced, the gang buys a boat, Mac's big break, white trash, who got dee pregnant, shaping America's youth, king of the rats, the gang gets stranded in the woods, dee gives birth, a very sunny Christmas.
Season 7 has Frank's pretty woman, jersey shore, dee gets audited, storm of the century, CharDee macdennis, anti-social network, how mac got fat, thundergun express, high school reunion part 1 and 2.

I think someone once said the show had a dip around season 6 or something like that, and everyone just parroted it without actually taking a look at what was in those seasons.

Danny really did take it over the edge.

One of the best shows in recent memory.

Hell, just the things done to Cricket would almost exceed the character limit on here.

I wouldn't consider any of the Gang to be good people TBH

No, this is what I thought when watching it real time. I didn't say those seasons were bad, but some of the episodes were just too over the top, and I wasn't a fan of fat Mac and his shenanigans.
