Along the same lines as other shows? What other series on TV has had a storyline about finding human meat to eat?

The appeal of Sunny is that it doesn't take itself seriously. They're just having fun, and their humor is appealing.
AD, though more creative and smarter, IMHO, can come off as pretentious. But I still have to give it the slight nod, on the ground that I can watch it over and over again, whereas 1 or 2 viewings of Sunny is as much as I can do.

My new roommate owns Season 1 & 2...watched both seasons in the course of two days...I can't believe I avoided this show for as long as I did. It's definitely one of the funniest shows on TV.

AD and Sunny are Two completely different shows conceptually and thus can not be compared.
That said, Sunny is just so much fun to watch. They seem to never whiff, whereas (upon my second viewing up AD) there are aton of episodes where I find that I haven't laughed once.
AD whiffs alot IMHO, but when it hits it hits homeruns (Ryan Howard-esque, persay). Sunny is the Ichiro that always gives you solid results.

As far as the "perfect" show goes, i think the office comes much closer to perfection than AD.
Overall, the ensamble cast may go down as the greatest in television. The only thing i dont like about the office is they, like AD, have episodes where they too whiff. I thought last week was pretty bad, but at the same time it is the only show to successfully blend comedy and some drama.

The Office is closer, because you can take it seriously. AD cannot be taken seriously.
Last week's Office was very weak though, and Sunny gets better and better each week. The gap between the shows is very close.

I've said this before, but IMO the funniest episode of the Office is probably worse than the least funny episode of AD. And I like the Office.

you really think so? I actually think this season is not as good as previous seasons. I find there to be less quality "subtle" humor mixed in with the outrageoues stuff.......and now it seems to try and go big all the time, and it seems a little forced.
Ex. In the Day Man episode when Charlie was on the couch about to huff some more glue and Dennis makes Charlie put the glue down. Simple, but funny. Also, in the episode when the Israeli buys the bar and fences them in. Dennis panics and starts to climb and they yell, "Don't climb Dennis". Not sure why, but odd things like really struck me as hilarious. I haven't seen as many of those moments this year.

Gas crisis was awesome but still my favorite plot of the new season has been Cricket-Hunting/GorillaMask/Tea-Bagging.

First episode of Always Sunny was a classic but, even if it wasn't (lets say if it was just good), it still would have surpassed that other show.
