Isn't this character always pretending to be a rube?
City girl: "So you raise chickens for a living?"
Country Boy: "Well I used to be a doctor, before that I was a lawyer...now I just like to tend to my chickens and take care of my little girl...you see, she has to wear glasses, and overalls, and she has a ponytail...it's been real tough."

I'm surprised Hallmark doesn't show Christmas movies 365.

I watched SHA in the theater with my college gf, and when Jean Smart pulls up in an old chevy truck I blurted out, "That's a beautiful woman" or some such. She was mad the rest of the date.

1. Busy city girl comes to her rural idealic small town 2. She reconnects with a ruggedly handsome old flame whom she starts out hating 3. There’s an adorable small town festival in the square 4. She leaves her boring city man for the rugged handiman country boy Literally the only things missing are Santa, a cute kid, and Gretchen Weiners
You missed a few.....
5. Came home to help with the farm/flowershop/bed and breakfast
6. It lightly snows every day in new England
7. Old flame from high school has no kids and was never married/ or is widowed
8. No sex of any kind for 2 hours and a peck on the cheek at the end.

Never said it was bad. It’s a solid rom com. I just feel really sorry for the mayor’s son. They should have at least had some kind of throwaway scene where one of the Alabama girls comforts him after the wedding so it’s hinted that he ends up with a happy ending. Dude gets absolutely destroyed in this movie while doing literally nothing wrong.
i'm outing myself here (as a married, shell of a man who has little say over his television, not gay. not that there's anything wrong with that) but he actually pulls the same move on some Scottish Lord with Michelle Monaghan in Made of Honor.
he gets decked by the Scot for it though.

She is to be thanked for giving us yearly movies with Lacey Chabert, Jill Wagner, Taylor Cole, Erin Krakow, Jen Lilly, Nikki DeLoach. All Hallmark hotties.
You know way to much about Hallmark movies!
