Is Smallville good?

looking for a new series to start and have a friend that loved it. should I invest my time in this show?

If you like superman watch it. It has it's teenage moments but it is a good show.

About the same as me. I started watching it a few seasons in when I found out about supernatural. I say give it a shot if you are looking for a series.

The first 3 or 4 seasons were really good then it got some weird storylines going and just regressed from there. Lana became a witch for a season, doomsday was a crappy interpretation and the last season just went through the motions.

It was good and then came off the rails after Rosenbaum left. It felt like they were grasping for straws trying to find a spin off.

Which they sort of did with arrow. The stand alone arrow > smallville arrow

It's good and bad. Clark is good, Jonathan is great, Luthor (bith father and son) are good. But Lana is incredibly annoying, the monster of the week is usually cheesy, and it gets worse after Luthor leaves.

I thought it was great, there were was a season towards where it got a little meh. However it picked up again in the 9th and then final season.
As said it's a pretty solid cast and only gets better when Lois gets introduced minus Lana.

Pretty good rundown. Some of the characters are great. Some are meh. Villains get cheesy at times but the Luthors were great.

I just started watching this myself. It runs early morning on TNT and they just started over. It's available to rent on Amazon, kind of expensive for a whole series, I'm recording on TNT and can rent a couple of episodes if i miss any.

watched the entire series while it aired and this is a good assessment
You could probably watch seasons 1-5 and skip to season 10.

It was on for ten seasons so it'll have it's ups and downs. I felt like s7 was the worst season.

S8 was rather strange, but still watched as Lois at that point was becoming my favorite character.
S9 I rather enjoyed as the guy who played Zod was a great replacement for Lex

I asked this same thing about 6 months ago and grabbed the first 2 seasons online for 20$. Season 1 was okay, it gets stronger as it goes. Liked season 2 enough to get 3 and 4. 3 and 4 were awesome. I plan on getting 5 soon

It's good and bad. Modernizes superman and Luther, has good plot points, but sometimes the show sucks and he justs broods at his farm. He should be all over the world, not pining after some chick

I enjoyed it for the most part. It did get cheezy at times, but I enjoyed the Lois, Green Arrow and the Zod story lines. Lana sucks. Lex and Lionel are pretty good though
