Yes you are. Just a bird brain who is unable to discern nuance. You lump everything together to generalize sentiment. Just like an ignorant bigot would.

You’re awfully hyperbolic and judgmental on a lovely Sunday afternoon.

It’s not that serious.

I beg to differ. You’re part of the reason movie/tv entertainment dove off a cliff and turned into slop.

If you’re watching slop that’s a you problem, not a me problem.

You planning on answering the OP’s question or just here to pile on showing you have a poor grasp of following context in posting?

Is KPop demon hunters a woke movie

No. It minimizes the threat of demons to some extent by pushing the false idea that humans can effectively fight them and that demons can be redeemed, but unless that's a no go for you I wouldn't consider it overtly woke.

The song "Soda Pop" uses some clever word games to use phrases that would otherwise be a little off-color. Probably not distinguishable for small children, so some caution there. Like "I want you to fill me up," meaning the demons want to be filled with your souls, but it sounds sexual in the way it is phrased in the song and would be heard as such without the context of the film. This isn't "woke" in the sense that this would be a concern as an adult viewer, but still something parents may want to be aware of.

No there isn't. At no point does this movie use "because we're female" as a reason for any victories. In fact, the characters horrendously fail at points in the film and show flaws that would not be present in woke "girl power/girl boss" movies, including falling all over themselves for the "boy band" members they know are demons solely because they're "attractive."

Just finished it, not bad, funny concept but overall enjoyable and harmless for the kids, people who interpreted the main character “coming out as her true self” as some gay thing are grasping at straws

The movie was well done and the music was chartbusting. The sort of stuff Disney used to be known for.

But credit goes to Netflix, of all places.

( Well, they bought it, and showed it on their service first.)

So, no one?

Is searching for tangentially-related things to complain about a movie you enjoyed a similar sort of grasping?

There's no help for anyone asking that question. This encapsulates the mindset perfectly:

He liked it. He then fabricated a reason to be offended, not based on the movie itself, but based on how some might have interpreted the movie. Even though no one has interpreted the movie in that way.

There is indeed something wrong with that mindset. "I want to be mad at things, so I make up reasons to be mad at them when I can't otherwise justify my anger."

So, I guess you're woke since you're pretending to not understand the context of the post you responded to.
