Like history I try to judge events in the context of when they occurred. He was not intended to be a villain during the making of the film nor was his character in the time period in which the film takes place. Your analysis is part of the reason comedy sucks today.

If you’re gonna over analyze this movie - discuss how an 350lb man’s attractive wife and daughter start hanging out with another man and his son and he’s ok with it.

how creepy the dub of "Mommy can I play in the basement with Yorku" was?

LOL. I've been watching this movie for like 40 years and I've always thought I was the only one to notice it.

The only line I had an issue with was when he told his daughter
"no sweetheart you wet their bed"

Other than that this post is hogwash

No, he is the hero. I love this movie and have watched it 20+ times. Still wish I could order "5 Skullie's catch of Day frozen fish dinners" irl. They don't make movies like they used to.

It took me forever to realize that the actor that played Skully is the same actor who played the director in Men in Black. I freakin love this movie and the casting is superb.

To me... the best quote of the movie is one you will not hear if you're not paying attention.
When all the lifeguards are running out of the house to get to the beach, one of them says, "that guy looks like John Madden"

I liked One Crazy Summer better.

The climax was better when they blew the back of the boat of and had the Ferrari on the boat.

Cookie was smoking....

You had Ari, Booger, Zed, the Jeering Fan from Happy Gilmore, and Homely Demi Moore.
